Kasmierski accomplished the feat while helping the Lady Elkers (13-4 overall, 3-3 AML South) to a 60-33 win over visiting Kane in AML action.
The senior needed 13 points coming into the night and started off strong hitting a pair of first-quarter 3-pointers while scoring eight first-quarter points.
She then had an old-school 3-point play in the second quarter before being fouled and sent to the line to shoot two late in the quarter.
She drained both to reach the milestone and went on to add four more points in the second half to finish with a team-high 17 tallies and 1,004 career points.
Kasmierski also had seven rebounds and three blocked shots.
Gabby Amacher just missed a double-double for Ridgway finishing with 15 points and nine assists while also coming away with four steals, while Kristen Ellenberger chipped in 13 points and five steals. Sophia Fullem also added 10 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.
Maya Smith led Kane (8-8 overall, 1-4 AML North) with 11 points with Hailey Hillman adding seven.
Kasmierski is only the second Ridgway player to reach 1,000 career points in the last 19 years joining Emily Fullem, Sophia’s older sister, who finished her career in 2018 with 1,307 career tallies, the sixth most in school history.
