
DUBOIS, Pa. – The Karns City girls’ soccer team is on top yet again.
The Lady Gremlins won their second consecutive District 9 title (last year was in 2A) with a 6-0 win over Brockway in the D9 Class 1A championship game.
Karns City (17-4) led 2-0 at halftime and scored three goals in a five-minute span to take complete control.
Lyrik Eed and Hanna Dailey had first-half goals for KC, while Martin, Cece Morrow, and Reed had a quick flurry of goals in the second half.
Emma Dailey capped the scoring with a late goal.
Morrow also had two assists.
With the win, the Lady Gremlins advance to play District 6 champion Penns Valley in the first round of the PIAA playoffs on Tuesday at a site and time to be determined.
