ELK COUNTY 51, ST. MARYS 30

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Luke Jansen scored 19 points, as Elk County Catholic gave head coach Aaron Straub his 900th win as the Crusaders boys’ coach with a 51-30 win over visiting rival St. Marys.

Straub is 900-247 in his 40th season as ECC’s boys’ coach and is 924-269 in his 42nd year as a head coach having coached the ECC girls for two years before becoming the boys’ coach. His 924 wins are believed to be the fifth most in the history of Pennsylvania High School basketball.

Jordan Wasko added 13 points in the win.

                                      

Tanner Fox led St. Marys with eight points.

BROOKVILLE 44, BRADFORD 25

BRADFORD, Pa. – Winning in Bradford for just the 11th time ever, Brookville got 16 points from Danny Lauer in a 44-25 D9 League victory.

Brookville, which is 11-45 all-time in Bradford, led 22-9 at halftime.

Clayton Cook added 13 points for the Raiders, while Hunter Geer chipped in nine.

                          

Cam Austin paced Bradford with 12 points.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 33, KANE 25

KANE, Pa. – Alec Srock had 22 points and 20 rebounds to lift visiting DuBois Central Catholic to a 33-25 win over Kane in AML action.

Andy Jekielek led Kane with eight points and 10 rebounds with Caleb Waite adding three points, six rebounds, and five blocks.

RIDGWAY 42, JOHNSONBURG 24

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Thanks in part to 16 points from Dan Park, Ridgway picked up a 42-24 AML home win over rival Johnsonburg.

Domenic Allegretto added 10 points for the Elkers with Aaron Sorg chipping in nine.

Jake Lobaugh and Jefferson Freeburg each scored six points for the Rams.

BROCKWAY 69, CURWENSVILLE 42

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Thirteen points each from Jared Marichiori and Alex Carlson helped Brockway roll past visiting Curwensville, 69-42.

                                   

Dylan Coder added 11 points for the Rovers with Noah Adams scoring 10 and Marcus Bennett eight.

Parker Wood scored a career-high 20 points for Curwensville, but Brockway limited District 9’s leading scorer Ty Terry to a season-low seven points.

SHEFFIELD 53, VENANGO CATHOLIC 30

OIL CITY, Pa. – Tony Richards poured in 17 points to lead Sheffield to a 53-30 win at Venango Catholic.

Leihden Wotorson added 13 points for the Wolverines with Caden Copley adding nine points.

Logan Rakow led Venango Catholic with 10 points.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 63, CRANBERRY 30

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Eleven different Clarion-Limestone players scored in a 63-30 KSAC Large School victory over visiting Cranberry.

Jordan Hesdon led the Lions with 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two blocked shots, while Jase Ferguson and Jack Callen each scored nine points and Rylie Klingensmith eight.

Noel Bunyak led Cranberry with eight points.

OTTO-ELDRED 62, SMETHPORT 30

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Otto-Eldred used a 1-3-1 defense to shake off a slow start on its way to a 62-30 win over visiting Smethport in NTL action.

The Terrors led by just a point, 14-13, at the end of the first quarter but outscored the Hubbers 25-6 in the second quarter.

Manning Splain hit a pair of 3-pointers in the second frame and scored eight of his 4 points in the quarter, while Austin Cousins tallied all seven of his points in the second stanza.

Landon Francis netted a game-high 19 points for Otto-Eldred while adding eight assists, three steals, and three rebounds. Cohen Walker and Gavin Jimerson each chipped in with eight points.

                                  

Alex Ognen led Smethport with nine points.

PORT ALLEGANY 71, GALETON 18

GALETON, Pa. – The trip over to Galeton went smoothly for Port Allegany, as the Gators got double-doubles from Blaine Moses and Braylon Button in a 71-18 NTL win.

Button had a game-high 24 points to go with 10 rebounds and two blocked shots, while Moses had 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Drew Evens added 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a blocked shot with Noah Archer contributing two points, nine assists, five rebounds, and four steals and Jett During 10 points.

Gavin Sykora had nine points for Galeton.

CAMERON COUNTY 65, NORTHERN POTTER 16

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Camdyn Allison scored a career-high 25 points, as Cameron County rolled past the visitors from Northern Potter, 65-16.

Hayden Brown continued his strong play of late with 18 points, and Devin Fowler scored nine.

Tanyon Brown and Marc Kicklighter each scored four points for Northern Potter.
