Hickory’s Petrochko, Grove City’s Allan, Warren’s Damore, McDowell’s Marsh Win D10 Titles Powered by Hunter’s Station Golf Club

MEADVILLE, Pa. – After two days and 36 holes, four District 10 golf champions emerged on Tuesday at The Country Club of Meadville – Hickory’s Sasha Petrochko (2A girls), McDowell’s Alexis Marsh (3A girls), Grove City’s Isaac Allan (2A boys) and Warren’s Braddock Damore (3A boys).

Petrochko had one of the best 36-hole performances in District 10 history, followed up her round of 64 with a round of 67 on Tuesday for a total of 131, 12 shots clear of defending champion Anna Swan of North East.

Allan, meanwhile, entered the day in a tie for first, and his round of 77 on Tuesday helped him finish two shots clear of Lakeview’s Jackson Gadsby and Fairview’s Anthony Laboda.

Damore, meanwhile, followed up his round of 72 with a round of 76, finishing two shots clear of Cathedral Prep’s Cooper Wierzchowski (150).

For the 3A girls, McDowell’s Alexis Marsh won with a score of 159, becoming the lone qualifier, edging teammate Analise Wolf (164).

 

A total of eight golfers on the Class 2A boys’ side qualified for the state championships. Joining Allan, Gadsby and Laboda are Franklin’s Ty Prince (155), Wilmington’s Santino Toscano (157), North East’s Leyton Hassenplug (161), West Middlesex’s Caden Bender (162) and Grove City Trent Nemec (163).

On the 2A girls’ side, joining Petrochko and Swan at states are West Middlesex’s Kate Sowers (147) and Hickory’s Luciana Masters (150).

                          

Damore and Wierzchowski are the only to advance on the 3A boys’ side, with Wierzchowski edging Warren’s Brady Berdine (151) by one shot.

The state championships are Oct. 16 and 17 and the Penn State University Courses.
