Karns City’s Fritch, Bradford’s Leet Win D9 Titles; Moniteau, Bradford Win Team Crowns Powered by Hunter’s Station Golf Club

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Karns City’s Chloe Fritch (Class 2A) and Bradford’s Payten Leet (Class 3A) captured the District 9 girls’ golf individual titles, while the Moniteau (2A) and Bradford (3A) girls won team titles. 

Leet shot an 85, while Fritch shot a 90.

Also qualifying for states was Oswayo Valley’s Rylee Thompson in Class 2A, carding a 92.

Helping Bradford qualify for the Class 3A team subregional were Cadence Stiles shooting a 96 and Alexia Corignani a 105.

In Class 2A, Moniteau’s Mariska Shunk and Taylor Voloch both shot 110s, while Kendall Sankey shot a 111 to lead the Warriors to the team title.

The Bradford girls will compete in a subregional on Thursday with D6 champ State College and D10 champ McDowell. The winner will advance to the PIAA team championships on Oct. 18 at the Penn State Courses.

The individual championships are Oct. 16 and 17 at Penn State.
