Grove City’s Hohman Named Week Two District 10 Jim Kelly POW Powered by the Allegheny Grille

   
   

WARREN, Pa. – For the second-straight week, a District 10 quarterback accounted for seven touchdowns – this time, it was Grove City’s Hunter Hohman.

Hohman was 17-of-21 passing for 324 yards and five touchdowns and also carried three times for 85 yards and two touchdowns in a 62-7 win over Northwestern, a performance that earned him the YDL Sports Network Week 1 Jim Kelly District 10 Football Player of the Week powered by the Allegheny Grille in Foxburg. Hohman also had seven tackles (1 for loss) and an interception on defense.

His receivers, Gavin Lutz and Nathan Greer also make it on to the honor roll, with Lutz hauling in nine receptions for 148 yards and three touchdowns and Greer having four receptions for 137 yards and two touchdowns.

Sharpsville’s Caullin Summers, the Week 1 POW, accounted for those seven touchdowns last week and nearly duplicated that feat this week, passing for 218 yards and three touchdowns on his way to breaking the Blue Devils’ career passing touchdowns record (he now has 46) in a 71-48 win over Titusville. He also ran for 176 yards and three more scores.

Jim Kelly is the Hall of Fame quarterback of the Buffalo Bills who grew up in East Brady, Pa. and went to Miami (Fla). Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 after passing for over 45,000 yards as a pro, including two seasons in the USFL, with 320 career touchdown passes. He led the Bills to four straight AFC Titles. Kelly’s name on the award is being used with his permission.
