WARREN, Pa. – Franklin’s Cole Buckley and Forest Area’s Colton Kuntz are the TapNPay+ boys’ basketball Performances of the Week for the week of Jan. 29 through Feb. 3, 2024.
Buckley, the District 10 winner, hit the shot of the week when he drilled a 3-pointer at the horn from just inside the volleyball attack line to beat Warren, 61-58, in a key Region 6 showdown in Warren on Friday, Feb. 2.
Buckley scored 10 points, including six in the final 26 seconds, to help the Knights, who trailed 58-55 with under 30 seconds to go. He hit an old-school 3-point play with 26 seconds left before nailing the game-winning shot.
Kuntz, the District 9 honoree, helped Forest Area to one of the season’s biggest turnaround wins in a 61-50 win at Brockway on Monday, Jan. 29.
The Fire, who had lost to Brockway by 27 points on Dec. 18, turned things around behind a monster performance by Kuntz, who had a triple-double of 22 points, 21 rebounds, and 12 blocked shots.
