Much like the Pennsylvania Football Writers, the Pennsylvania Football News Coaches-Select Class 1A All-State teams featured a number of Redbank Valley Bulldogs.
Redbank Valley, which reached the PIAA semifinals, had five players named to the coaches select teams (there is a first team and second team) – Ashon Kahle (SB/HB), Mason Clouse (WR), Hayden Rearick (long snapper) and Brandon Ross (DT) were first team choices, while Owen Clouse (OLB) was a second team selection.
The five Redbank Valley players led a total of 13 District 9 and District 10 players to earn honors.
Also named to the first team were Brockway’s Blake Pisarcik (WR), Eisenhower’s Kris Bunk (TE), Port Allegany’s Carson Neely (guard) and Miska Young (DE) and Coudersport’s Gavin Ayers (punter).
Also named to the second team were Brockway’s Reese Yahner (guard), Cambridge Springs’ Tristen Mazzadra (DE) and Cameron County’s Jake Narby (CB).
Steel-High’s Alex Erby was voted Player of the Year and his coach, Andrew Erby, Coach of the Year.
Over 200 coaches from across Pennsylvania voted for the teams. The full Class 1A teams are listed below.
