Feb. 19, 2022 D9/10 Boys/Girls Hoops: Sharpsville Boys Power Past Cambridge; A-C Valley Girls Triumph

Sharpsville's James Thomas had 17 points in a win over Cambridge Springs.

SHARPSVILLE, Pa. – Mack Staunch poured in 34 points and James Thomas 17 to lead Sharpsville to a 67-58 non-region win over Cambridge Springs.

Sharpsville built an 18-point halftime advantage en route to the win.

Ethan Counasse had 18 points and Josh Reisenauer and Parker Schmidt 11 each for Cambridge Springs.

SLIPPERY ROCK 59, MONITEAU 35

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. – Shane Thompson led four Slippery Rock players in double figures with 12 points as the Rockets earned a 59-35 win over Moniteau in their regular-season finale.

                                      

Elam Pyle and Dylan Gordon added 11 points each for the Rockets, while Jacob Wolak added 10.

Ryan Jewart led Moniteau with 10 points.

GREENVILLE 57, REYNOLDS 51

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Greenville went on a 19-3 third-quarter run in a 57-51 win over Reynolds.

Jalen Ritzert had a big game for the winners, pouring in 25 points, while Logan Lentz added 12.

                          

Ashton Small had 13 points and Haden Obenrader 12 for Reynolds.

GIRLS

A-C VALLEY 49, EISENHOWER 23

FOXBURG, Pa. – Baylee Blauser scored 16 points to lead A-C Valley to a 49-23 win over Eisenhower.

Keira McVay added 11 points for the winners.

Bella Marino had 15 points, five rebounds, three steals and three blocks for Eisenhower.

LAKEVIEW 69, CONNEAUT (Pa.) 51

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Reese Gadsby poured in 29 points to lead Lakeview to a 69-51 win over Conneaut.

Amber Sefton added 12 points and Kyndra Seddon 10 for the Sailors.

Lainie Harrington had 12 points for Conneaut, while Jaelyn Blood and Hannah Brady tallied 11 each and Rylee Jones 10.

                                   

GREENVILLE 55, SLIPPERY ROCK 46

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Josie Lewis poured in 25 points to lead Greenville to a 55-46 win over Slippery Rock.

Grace Cano added 16 points for the Trojans.

Slippery Rock’s Ella McDermott had a monster game, leading all scorers with 28 points.

MCDOWELL 44, CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 29

ERIE, Pa. – Caylen Spano scored 14 points and Kaeli Bennett 10 to lead McDowell to a 44-29 win over Cambridge Springs.

McDowell used a 19-8 third-quarter run to take control.

KK Yanc led Cambridge Springs with 10 points and Hailee Rodgers added nine.
