Farrell Topples Jamestown For D10 1A Title

HERMITAGE, Pa. – It was all Farrell right from the get-go, as the Steelers exploded for 31 points in the first quarter on their way to a 71-29 win over Jamestown in the District 10 Class 1A title game on Friday.

The Steelers (15-8) had 12 different players score in the game, with Nasir O’Kane’s 15 points leading the way.

O’Kane had seven of his points in the first quarter, while Lamont Samuels and Malachi Owens tallied five each in the opening frame, helping the Steelers to the 31-10 advantage.

The Muskies were playing without senior 1,000-point scorer Peyton McElhinney, who was injured during practice.

                                      

Samuels and Kylon Wilson finished with 13 points apiece for the Steelers.

Cole Ternent led the Muskies with seven points, while junior 1,000-point scorer Cam Keyser added six.

Farrell will meet Geibel Catholic in the first round of the PIAA playoffs on Tuesday (March 8).
