Farrell Cruises Past Youngsville, Into D10 Class 1A Final; Rocky Grove Rallies Past Cochranton

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Top seed Farrell outscored Youngsville 22-2 in the first quarter on its way to a 73-25 win in the District 10 Class 1A semifinals.

Dontaye Bell had a big game in the win for the Steelers (18-5), connecting on a game-high 27 points.

Bell was one of three Steelers in double figures, as Danny Odem had 16 points and Juju Phillips 12.

Rylan Benton had nine points and Nathan Lucks eight for Youngsville (8-15).

Farrell will look to defend its D10 title when they play Rocky Grove, a 60-51 winner over Cochranton, on Friday at a site and time to be determined.

                                      

ROCKY GROVE 60, COCHRANTON 51

OIL CITY, Pa. – Trailing 25-22 at halftime, No. 2 Rocky Grove went on a 21-6 run in the third quarter en route to a 60-51 win over No. 3 Cochranton in the D10 Class 1A semifinals.

Schiffer Anderson was the catalyst for Rocky Grove, knocking down five 3-pointers on his way to a team-high 24 points.

Anderson was one of three Rocky Grove (16-7) players in double figures, as Landen Carter had 13 and Noah Baughman 11.

Walker Carroll scored a game-high 29 points for Cochranton (9-14), while Dawson Carroll added 11.

                          

Rocky Grove and Farrell met twice during the regular season, both wins by the Steelers.
