BOYS

SMETHPORT 68, OSWAYO VALLEY 51

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Alex Ognen put in the highest-scoring performance for a Smethport Hubber in nearly a decade when he tickled the nets for 33 points in a 68-51 road NTL win over Oswayo Valley.

The 33 tallies for Ognen, who hit 10 of 15 free throws and scored double digits in both the second quarter (10) and fourth quarter (12), are the most by a Smethport player since Jan. 20, 2012, when Kevin Lord scored 34 in a win over Austin. He is also the first Hubber to reach 30 points since Zach Smith scored 32 Jan. 24, 2013.

                                      

Trent Neff added 12 points for Smethport with Hayden Leet adding 10 points and John Adamoski seven.

Ian Bilski paced Oswayo Valley with 15 points and Cayden Black added 14.

DUBOIS 46, JOHNSONBURG 43

DUBOIS, Pa. – Down three going to the fourth quarter, DuBois got key fourth-quarter 3-pointers from Al Pasternak and Joey Foradora to rally for a 46-43 win over visiting Johnsonburg.

The Beavers trailed 33-30 after 24 minutes of basketball put outscored Johnsonburg, which missed a 3-pointer at the horn that would have tied the game, 16-10 in the final eight minutes.

                          

Pasternak scored six of his eight points in the fourth quarter, while Foradora netted five of his game-high 15 in the frame.

Chooch Husted also scored 10 points for DuBois, while Cam Thompson hit three 3-pointers to finish with nine points.

Jake Lobaugh tied for game-high honors with 15 points for Johnsonburg, which drilled 10 3-pointers in the contest, while Jefferson Freeburg added seven tallies.

KANE 40, YOUNGSVILLE 26

Kobe Hendrickson led Youngsville with 10 points and Nathan Lucks added nine.

BRADFORD 49, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 43

BRADFORD, Pa. – Behind 15 points each from Cam Austin and Jake Franz, Bradford got past visiting DuBois Central Catholic, 49-43.

Alec Srock led DCC with a game-high 16 points with Jalen Kosko adding 13.

                                   

OTTO-ELDRED 33, CAMERON COUNTY 20

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Gavin Jimerson led a balanced Otto-Eldred attack with 10 points, as the visiting Terrors beat Cameron County, 33-20, in NTL action.

Otto-Eldred won despite scoring just two first-quarter points – it trailed 5-2 – thanks in part to holding the Red Raiders to nine first-half points.

Landon Francis added nine points, three assists, and three rebounds for the Terrors with Shene Thomas chipping in eight points and six rebounds, and Manning Splain four points and eight rebounds.

Laden Farren and Brevin Lewis led Cameron County with five points each.

COUDERSPORT 60, NORTHERN POTTER 26

ULYSSES, Pa. – Logan Ruter, Christian Furman, and Brady Streich combined to score 34 points to lead Coudersport to a 60-26 win at Northern Potter in NTL action.

Ruter led the Falcons with 12 points with Furman and Streich each chipping in 11 points. Mason Roessner added nine points and Reilly Streich chipped in eight.

Nolan Smith led Northern Potter with 12 points.

BROCKWAY 63, FOREST AREA 22

TIONESTA, Pa. – Jumping out to a 25-3 lead after a quarter of play, visiting Brockway rolled to a 63-22 win over Forest Area at West Forest.

Joe Hertel led the Rovers with 12 points, Noah Adams added 11, Marcus Bennett 10, and Reese Yahner eight.

Allen Johnston hit five 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 17 points for Forest Area.

RIDGWAY 48, PORT ALLEGANY 21

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Dan Park scored a game-high 17 points to pace a 48-21 road win for Ridgway over Port Allegany.

                                  

Jack Benninger added 11 points for the Elkers with Domenic Allegretto scoring eight.

Ty Guilds and Drew Evens had five points to lead Port Allegany with Noah Archer handing out four assists on the Gator’s eight baskets. Blaine Moses had a team-best five rebounds while scoring four points, and Evens also blocked three shots

OIL CITY 48, KEYSTONE 26

KNOX, Pa. – Cam Van Wormer hit three 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 15 points to help visiting Oil City to a 48-26 win over Keystone.

Jake Hornbeck added 12 points for the Oilers with Sayyid Donald and Judias Johnson each scoring seven.

Bret Wingard led Keystone with nine points with Tyler Albright scoring eight.

GIRLS

JOHNSONBURG 40, AUSTIN 29

AUSTIN, Pa. – Visiting Johnsonburg got strong games from Kaci Stelene and Annasophia Stauffer to beat Austin, 40-29.

Stelene had a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds while adding six steals, and Stauffer scored a game-high 14 points while coming away with eight steals and six rebounds.

Ally Nelson led Austin with eight points, Ella Brewer added six points, four steals, four rebounds, and two blocked shots, Isabella Rees also had six points, Savannah Horton grabbed seven rebounds and scored four points, and Jade Williams had a team-best eight rebounds to go with four points.
