WARREN, Pa. – Cranberry’s Dalton Wenner and Conneaut’ Hunter Gould earned the TapNPay+ District 9 and District 10 wrestling performances of the week for Jan. 22-27.
Wenner, the District 9 winner and Gould, the District 10 selection, both captured titles at the prestigious Fred Bell Tournament at Grove City.
Wenner went 5-0 at 114 pounds earning three pins and a tech fall on his way to the finals at 114 pounds. In the finals, he pinned Grove City’s Tanner Hamilton in 3:38 for the title.
Gould, meanwhile, also went 5-0 at 133 pounds, earning two wins by pin and two by tech fall to get to the finals. In the finals, he earned a hard-fought 4-1 win over Cyrus Hurd of North East.
