Cathedral Prep Claims District 10 Class 3A Team Wrestling Title Powered by Luton’s Plumbing, Heating & A/C

D10 3A champion Cathedral Prep.

ERIE, Pa. – Cathedral Prep captured the District 10 Class 3A team wrestling title on Thursday with a 48-19 win over Hickory.

                        

The Ramblers got five pins en route to the win from Brandon Byrd (152), Corey Kowalski (189), Max Spaulding (215), Omar Arrington (185) and Gabe Dorman (145).

Also for Prep, Bo Martucci won via tech fall at 160, , Aiden Carter by major decision at 107 and Keagan Oler by a 5-2 decision over Brady Slicker at 127.

Hickory got pins from Elijah Scriven (114) and Mike Reardon (139), as well as a 5-0 win from Brody Bishop over Amir Johnson at121 and a major decision victory from Dylan O’Brien at 133.

The Ramblers move on to the first round of the state tournament on Feb. 8 in Hershey, where they will meet the runner-up from District 1.

                              

In the semifinals, it was Prep beating McDowell 57-12 and Hickory edging Meadville, 40-33.

For Meadville at 160, Brighton Anderson picked up his 100th career win via a pin in the first period.

Hickory got wins from Logan Kent (152), Dante Stevenson (107), Scriven (114), Bishop (121), Slicker (127), O’Brien (133) and Reardon (139).

Ryder Say (145), Xavier Onspaugh (172), Connor Kearns (189), Ty Tidball (215) and James Peters (285) also won for Meadville.
