Blauser Sets ACV Long Jump Record; Sheffield Takes 3 of 4 at Oswayo Valley

Baylee Blauser set the A-C Valley long jump record, but Karns City earned a sweep of their meet Tuesday.

The KC boys were 114-32 winners while the girls came away with a 111-37 win.

Blauser jumped 17 feet, 6 1/2 inches, breaking the previous record-which she also held-of 17 feet, 1 inch.

BOYS: SHEFFIELD 107, NORTHERN POTTER 29; SHEFFIELD 119, OSWAYO VALLEY 10
GIRLS: SHEFFIELD 63, OSWAYO VALLEY 36; NORTHERN POTTER 65, SHEFFIELD 61
SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Sheffield’s boys won a pair while the girls earned a split in a tri-meet with Northern Potter at Oswayo Valley Tuesday.

The boys were 107-29 winners over Northern Potter and picked up a 119-10 win against OV. The girls topped OV, 63-36, and suffered a tight, 65-61 loss to NP.

Double winners for the boys were Garett Waters in the 110 hurdles, Isiah Valentin in the 100 and 300 hurdles, and Quahiem Pressley in the 200 and 400. Lucas McNeal won all three jumping events-long/high/triple, and Jesse Campbell had the top throws in the discus and javelin.

Girls’ double winners were Lexi Goldthwaite in the 100 hurdles, Avery Dolos in the 100 and 200, Kassidy Orinko in the high jump, and Emily Leichtenberger in the shot put and discus. Leichtenberger qualified for districts in the discus with a throw of 100’ 9.5” and the shot put with a throw of 32’ 3.5”.

OIL CITY’S HORN BETTERS POLE VAULT MARK

                          

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Oil City’s Emma Horn bettered her own school record in the pole vault Tuesday clearing 10-feet, 6-inches. She held the previous mark as well having set it last week.

BOYS: YOUNGSVILLE 99, UNION CITY 43
GIRLS: UNION CITY 80, YOUNGSVILLE 67
UNION CITY, Pa. – Youngsville and Union City split their dual meet at Union City.

The Eagles were 99-43 winners on the boys’ side, while the Lady Bears topped the Lady Eagles, 80-67.
