Base: Saegertown, Prep, Wilmington Get Big Wins; Lakeview Edges Sharpsville Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Saegertown scored nine runs over the first two innings in a 12-1, 6-inning win over Cambridge Springs.

DaMarcus Manning was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs, while Luke Young was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Wyatt Burchill 1-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs. Blake Burchill and Williams Shaffer had two hits and one RBI each.

Burchill and Levi Gardner each tossed three innings, combining to give up one run on four hits while striking out 10.

Josh Gorton was 3-for-3 for Cambridge Springs, while Owen Riley had an RBI. Tristen Mazzadra took the loss, allowing nine runs (five earned) in 1 ⅔ innings.

LAKEVIEW 9, SHARPSVILLE 7

                  

STONEBORO, Pa. – Lakeview scored four runs in the fifth and three in the sixth to rally past Sharpsville, 9-7.

Lucas Fagley belted a 3-run home run for the Sailors and Maddox Bell also homered and drove in two runs.

Carsen Boitnott was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Sailors, while Cody Fagley was also 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Bell got the win, allowing one run on two hits in three innings, striking out one.

Luke Distler and Jared Bissell both homered for Sharpsville.

                          

CATHEDRAL PREP 11, ERIE 0, 5 innings

ERIE, Pa. – Andrew Costello had two hits and two RBIs as Cathedral Prep beat Erie, 11-0 in five innings.

Six different Ramblers had one RBI each, while Justice Laird also had two hits.

Laird got the win, going four innings and allowing two hits while striking out six.

Chase Benedict had both hits for Erie.

               

GIRARD 9, NORTHWESTERN 3

ERIE, Pa. – Mason Kalicky drove in three runs and had two hits as Girard beat Northwestern, 9-3 at UPMC Park.

Girard scored in every inning but the first.

Tyler Gilmore was 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Jackets, while Zak Balogh had two hits and scored a run.

Gilmore went 6 ⅔ innings to get the win, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out five.

Joe Schaukowitsch had two hits and an RBI for Northwestern.

Nick Timm took the loss, allowing seven runs (three earned) in five innings on seven hits, striking out five.

WILMINGTON 15, MERCER 0, 4 innings

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Chase Mitcheltree was 4-for-4 with five RBIs as Wilmington beat Mercer, 15-0 in four innings.

            

Rocky Serafino was 2-for-3 with four RBIs for the Greyhounds, while Gavin Sikorski drove in three runs.

Tyler Mikulin tossed four shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out five.

MERCYHURST PREP 12, SENECA 0

ERIE, Pa. – Noah Reigel drove in three runs as Mercyhurst Prep beat Seneca, 12-0.

The Lakers scored five runs in both the second and third innings en route to the win.

Alex Manendo and Zack Kruszewski both had two hits and two RBIs each while scoring two runs.

Noah Trojanowski tossed five shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out five.
