Base: Harbor Creek, Wilmington Nab Shutout Wins; Slippery Rock Edges CASH Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

ALBION, Pa. – Harbor Creek scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back, earning a 6-0 win over Northwestern.

Three Husky pitchers – Tyler Burick (3 innings), Gio Barbato (3 innings) and Noah Sprickman (1 inning) combined to allow just three hits while striking out 12 and walking two. Eight of those strikeouts came from Barbato.

Tobias Vahey was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for the Huskies, while Caden Folmar was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs, Jake Rzodkiewicz was 1-for-3 with an RBI, Sam LaFuria 1-for-2 with an RBI and Preston Lanagan 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Joe Schaukowitsch took the loss, allowing five runs (four earned) in five innings, striking out three, walking two and allowing seven hits.

WILMINGTON 2, WEST MIDDLESEX 0

   

                  

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Shane Heller fired a 6-hit shutout as Wilmington edged West Middlesex, 2-0.

Heller struck out three, walked one and needed just 79 pitches to get through seven innings.

Wilmington scored a run in the first and added another in the third, as Chase Mitcheltree had an RBI single in the third.

Logan Kent had two hits for West Middlesex. Kyle Gilson took the loss, allowing two unearned runs in three innings of work, striking out three and walking three.

SLIPPERY ROCK 6, CONNEAUT 4

                          

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Trailing 4-1, Slippery Rock scored four runs in the bottom of the third on its way to a 6-4 victory over Conneaut.

This came after Conneaut had scored four runs in the top half of the third.

Jake Kunsman was 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs for the Rockets, while Sal Mineo was 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI, Dominick Zandi 1-for-3 with an RBI, Ryan Double 2-for-3 with a run scored and Parker Dalcamo 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.

NORTH EAST 8, GIRARD 4

               

GIRARD, Pa. – North East scored seven runs in the sixth inning to earn an 8-4 win over Girard.

The game was tied 1-1 going to the sixth. Braydon Cornman was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Jacob Babo was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Jerek Turlij 2-for-4 with a run.

Andrew Aspden got the complete game win, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out three and walking one.

Zach Kelley, James Kibbe, Aiden Maher and Mason Kalicky had one RBI each for Girard.

Carson Stevens took the loss, allowing eight runs on 10 hits in six innings, striking out seven.
