Balanced Scoring Sends St. Marys Past DCC; Strong Finishes Lead Austin, Port Allegany to Victory

DUBOIS, Pa. – Ben Paul led a balanced effort for St. Marys with 16 points to lead the visiting Dutch to a 62-52 win over DuBois Central Catholic.

Anthony Nedzinski added 15 points in the win with Cooper Regulski chipping in 13 points.

Andrew Green had 21 points and nine rebounds for DCC, Luke Fragle nailed four 3-pointers on his way to 14 points, and Marek Hoyt contributed 13 points.

AUSTIN 40, OSWAYO VALLEY 33

                                      

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Visiting Austin used a game-ending 20-7 run to knock off Oswayo Valley, 40-33, in NTL action.

The Panthers trailed 26-20 midway through the third quarter before ending the quarter on a 9-0 paced by seven points from Warren Nelson.

Nelson led Austin with 13 points, five rebounds, and four steals with Dawson Hooftallen adding 12 points, 13 points, six steals, and five assists and Brennan Ogden chipping in eight points, six blocks, and seven rebounds.

Gabe Mundt had nine points for Oswayo Valley with Brayden Wiley, Dawson Welch, Nik Bonney, and Conner Resig each adding six points.

PORT ALLEGANY 51, SMETHPORT 41

                          

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Outscoring visiting Smethport 21-14 in the second half, Port Allegany knocked off the Hubbers, 51-41, in NTL action.

Port Allegany led 30-27 at halftime after trailing 16-14 at the end of eight minutes before expanding the lead to 38-31 at the end of the third quarter.

Jarrod Funk led Port Allegany with 13 points with Braylon Button adding 11 points, Mason Klawuhn eight points, and Nick Wilfong with seven.

Cole Burdick led Smethport with 17 points with Carson Dunn adding nine points.

DUBOIS 66, INDIANA 47

INDIANA, Pa. – Maddox Bennett scored all 24 of his points on eight 3-pointers to lead visiting DuBois to a 66-47 win over Indiana.

Cam Thompson also drilled three triples – DuBois had 14 3-pointers in the game – and finished with 15 points for the Beavers, while Aidan West hit three 3-pointers and finished with nine.

Tyson Kennis, playing in his second game of the season, also reached double figures for DuBois with 13 points.

Aaron Webb led Indiana with 16 points with Isaac Nygren scoring nine points.

CAMERON COUNTY 60, GALETON 29

                                   

EMPORIUM, Pa. – A quick start helped pave the way to a 60-29 win for Cameron County over visiting Galeton.

The Red Raiders scored 21 first-quarter points and led 21-5 after eight minutes thanks in part to 11 points from Josh Smith and six from Ryan Shaffer.

Smith finished with a game-high 20 points with Shaffer adding 12. Josh Beer chipped in nine points in the win.

Braiden Cimino had 16 points for Galeton.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 64, RIDGWAY 47

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Jack Callen scored 21 points to lead visiting Clarion-Limestone to a 64-47 win over Ridgway.

Jase Ferguson added 15 points, 13 in the second half, for the Lions while Jack Craig chipped in 12 points.

Hunter Beeler hit four first-half 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 22 points for Ridgway while Alex Merritt scored 16 for the Elkers.

WILLIAMSBURG 65, CURWENSVILLE 53

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Rowan Gorsuch had a game-high 28 points to lead visiting Williamsburg to a 65-53 win over Curwensville in ICC North action.

Logan Brantner added 15 points for the Blue Pirates with Preston Isenberg chipping in 10 tallies.

Davis Fleming and Parker Wood led Curwensville with 22 and 21 points respectively.

OTTO-ELDRED 81, NORTHERN POTTER 35

ULYSSES, Pa. – Four Otto-Eldred players reached double digits, including a pair with at least 20 points, in an 81-35 road NTL win over Northern Potter.

Landon Francis led the Terrors with a game-high 22 points with Manning Splain adding 20 points.

                                  

Shene Thomas also scored 14 points in the win, and Brax Caldwell contributed 10 points.

Malachi Lewis paced Northern Potter with 10 points with Nolan Smith and Ty Daniels each adding nine tallies.

BELLEFONTE 62, CLEARFIELD 45

BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Derek Cox led a four-some of Bellefonte players in double digits with 16 points, as the Raiders beat visiting Clearfield, 62-45, in LHAC East action.

Ryder Hamilton, Jacob McConnell, and Jacob Corman each added 11 points.

Braison Patrick paced Clearfield with 23 points with Evett Maines adding 14 points.
