Armstrong Has Strong Showing at USTAF National Outdoor Championships

GENEVA, OHIO – Brenna Armstrong form Clarion Area High School took second in the discus and third in the shot put at the USATF National Outdoor Championships on Friday.

In the discus, Armstrong, competing for Swift Arrow Track Club in the 15-16-year old division, uncorked a throw of 113’11” inches, trailing only Mackenzie Blanchet, who had a throw of 116’.

In the shot put, Armstrong’s best mark of 32’1” inch was good for third. Blanchet won the event with a throw of 36’7”.

At the high school level, Armstrong competes for North Clarion in track and field as part of their co-op with Clarion Area.
