Q&A

Q: How did you get involved in playing sports?
A: I got involved in playing sports through my parents and siblings. My parents always practiced with me whenever I asked and really pushed me to work hard to achieve my goals as an athlete. My siblings and I would play together to help push each other to get better as well.

Q: What is the most enjoyable thing you have ever had happen to you on an athletic field?
A: Winning D9 (Class 1A) in basketball my sophomore year was one of the best feelings ever. My team and I worked very hard that year, and being able to win the district title as a pretty young team was a great accomplishment for all of us.

Q: If you could go to any event (it doesn’t have to be a sporting event) in the world, what would it be and why? *
A: I would definitely want to go to the Olympics. It would be so cool to see all of the athletes from all over competing in their different events.

Q: What teacher has had the most impact on you in school? Why?
A: WeeJ Fernan has definitely had the most impact on me in school, as as well as sports and my life in general. He is a very good teacher by pushing me in the classroom to work harder through my studies, exemplifying patience and kindness, and also teaching very valuable lessons that have helped me and will continue to help me develop as a student, and most importantly as a person.

Q: Do you have any superstitions in any of the sports you play?
A: Yes, I have superstitions for all three of my sports. For volleyball, I have to wear the same socks every game or tournament. For basketball, I have to listen to the same three songs either on the bus or on the way to the school. For track, I have to use the same implement every meet or I psych myself out.

Q: You have one day where you can do anything your heart desires. Cost is not a factor. What would it be?
A: I would want to go to the beach or somewhere warm.

Q: If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?
A: I would go back to the early 2010s because life was very fun being a little kid and it went by too quick.

Q: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the question/answer?
A: No
