Q&A

Q: How did you get involved in playing sports?
A: My mom and dad got us all involved in sports at a young age, pretty much anything with a ball. My mom played high school and college softball and my dad was a high school athlete and has coached various varsity, community, and travel teams over the past 20 years. I’ve been playing softball since I was 9 years old. Prior to that, I played tee ball and coach pitch baseball. I started playing volleyball in the eighth grade.

Q: What is the most enjoyable thing you have ever had happen to you on an athletic field?
A: 1. 2022 – Sharon softball team qualifying for the District 10 Class 3A playoffs and winning a playoff game for the first time in 15 years. We beat North East 4-2 and I had a single, double, and all 4 RBIs. 2. On Father’s Day last year I hit the game-winning home run for my Thunder Elite 07 travel team in the championship game of the 2022 Ohio Blast Father’s Day Classic with my dad coaching first base. 3. Breaking the Sharon High School single-season home run record this past season at home against Hickory.

Q: If you could go to any event (it doesn’t have to be a sporting event) in the world, what would it be and why? *
A: Women’s College Softball World Series. I love watching college softball and would love to attend the event.

Q: What teacher has had the most impact on you in school? Why?
A: Mrs. Nora Songer (Spanish teacher) and Mr. Brad Volek (Band Director) because they both truly care about me, listen to me, and give great advice and guidance.

Q: Do you have any superstitions in any of the sports you play?
A: I always have to use an Easton Ghost bat while hitting, otherwise I don’t really have any superstitions.

Q: You have one day where you can do anything your heart desires. Cost is not a factor. What would it be?
A: Travel abroad with no limitations.

Q: If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?
A: I would go back to the 2010s when the band One Direction was popular and follow them around while they were on tour.

Q: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the question/answer?
A: Who is my role model and why? My answer – my dad. He’s coached me since I started playing sports, especially softball. He always tells me he loves me no matter the situation or result on the field. He also always makes time to work with me and has taught me how to be a great teammate and person in all aspects of life.
