Q&A

Q: How did you get involved in playing sports?
A: Both of my parents were college athletes and my mom is a college coach so I have grown up around sports.

Q: What is the most enjoyable thing you have ever had happen to you on an athletic field?
A: Winning the Clas 1A state championship in baseball and having the opportunity to compete at the level I’m at.

Q: If you could go to any event (it doesn’t have to be a sporting event) in the world, what would it be and why? *
A: July 4, 1939 when Lou Gehrig gave a speech on how he was the luckiest man alive. Growing up a Yankees fan there were so many things to choose from but this stands out the most.

Q: What teacher has had the most impact on you in school? Why?
A: Mr. (Rob) Jewett because we talked sports and he helped correlate math and sports together.

Q: Do you have any superstitions in any of the sports you play?
A: Yes. I have to put my helmet on first the left batting glove then the right batting glove and finally my elbow guard. If I mess up I start again from the beginning.

Q: You have one day where you can do anything your heart desires. Cost is not a factor. What would it be?
A: Go to a Yankees Game 7 World Series and sit in the front row.

Q: If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?
A: I would want to go back and watch Mickey Mantle play a baseball game.

Q: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the question/answer?
A: Yes, my favorite food, and my favorite food is a burrito from Chipotle.
