Q&A

Q: How did you get involved in playing sports?
A: My family has always persuaded me into playing. I’ve played volleyball, softball and basketball since I was little.

Q: What is the most enjoyable thing you have ever had happen to you on an athletic field?
A: The feeling after getting a kill in volleyball or making 3s to tie up a state playoff game in basketball.

Q: If you could go to any event (it doesn’t have to be a sporting event) in the world, what would it be and why? *
A: Recruitment camps for volleyball, preferably going to Gannon volleyball camp.

Q: What teacher has had the most impact on you in school? Why?
A: Shawn Gray. He isn’t a school teacher but to me he’s a basketball teacher. He’s led me through my whole basketball, softball and volleyball career. He is an amazing teacher and coach.

Q: Do you have any superstitions in any of the sports you play?
A: Before every volleyball game I play for school I put my hair in a tight ponytail with any sort of braid. For basketball, I wear the same Lady Terrors basketball hoodie and listen to music while dancing with my team in the locker room.

Q: You have one day where you can do anything your heart desires. Cost is not a factor. What would it be?
A: Play beach volleyball on the beach the whole day. Not keeping score but having fun and playing the game I love to play on the beach.

Q: If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?
A: The day our basketball team won the D9 championship. The feeling of all my close teammates crying tears of joy and all my best friends hugging me as we realize we just completed all of our goals for the year.

Q: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the question/answer?
A: Which sport is my favorite? As much as I love the feeling of being on the basketball court and playing my heart out for the coaches and with the team I love, the feeling of being on a volleyball court will always be my favorite. The feeling of taking control over myself and knowing exactly what to do during a sport is the best feeling, especially playing with the people I love.
