YDL Sports Network to Broadcast Punxsy at St. Marys Girls Game with First Place in D9 League on the Line

WARREN, Pa. – The YDL Sports Network will be broadcasting the Punxsutawney at St. Marys girls’ basketball game with first place in the D9 League on the line.

The visiting Lady Chucks, who rallied to beat the Lady Dutch 58-53 on Jan. 17 in Punxsutawney, enter the game at 15-2 overall and 6-1 in the D9 League.

St. Marys, which eeked past Brookville Monday, 49-44, is 16-3 overall and 7-1 in league action.

The Lady Dutch are led by District 9’s leading scorer, Jayssa Snelick, who is averaging 21.1 ppg and is closing in on 1,000 in her career.

Punxsutawney is paced by Danielle Griebel, who is averaging 12.0 points and 6.5 assists per game, and Avary Powell, who is averaging 12.6 ppg. Griebel recently became the Lady Chucks’ all-time leading assist giver.

                                      

Chris Shaw and Scott Johnson have the call of the game with air time being immediately following the 6 p.m. JV contest.
