CLARION, Pa. – Watch live as Oswayo Valley takes on Clarion in the District 9 Class 1A volleyball quarterfinals.
The fifth-seeded and defending champion Green Wave travel to Clarion to take on the fourth-seeded Lady Cats, who saw their string of four straight D9 titles ended by Oswayo Valley in the semifinals at Oswayo a year ago.
This is the fourth straight season these teams have met in the District 9 playoffs.
Clarion beat Oswayo Valley in the 2020 D0 semifinals on its way to a PIAA championship and then took down the Green Wave in the 2021 title game on the way to another state championship. Last year, Oswayo Valley beat Clarion in Shinglehouse in the semifinals before downing Elk County Catholic in the D9 title game to win its first D9 title. The Green Wave then advanced to the PIAA semifinals before losing to eventual state champion Maplewood.
Both teams are coming off first-round wins.
Clarion beat Brockway, 3-0, and Oswayo Valley took down DuBois Central Catholic, 3-1.
