Warren, Karns City, Mercer, Wilmington, GM Girls Earn Shutout Wins; Port Allegany Boys Blank Ridgway (Oct. 10 Soccer Recaps)

WARREN, Pa. – Leyna and Meea Irwin had four goals each as Warren blanked Erie, 10-0.

Eliza Brook and Marielle Stanz had one goal each, with Brook notching five assists.

Leyna Irwin also had an assist, while Bailey Williams and Lani Wenzel also had one assist each.

KARNS CITY 2, DUBOIS 0

DUBOIS, Pa. – Hanna Dailey and Phoebe Brandon had one goal each as Karns City beat DuBois, 2-0.

            

Dailey had an assists, as did Ava Kamenski.

Savanna Prescott had the shutout in goal.

MERCER 9, WEST MIDDLESEX 0

MERCER, Pa. – Morgan Miller had three goals and Emma Cameron two as Mercer beat West Middlesex, 9-0.

Maddy Bailey, Karleigh Heckathorn, Lauren Chess and Pressley Washil had one goal each.

                          

Bailey, Washil, Cameron and Miller all had one assist each.

WILMINGTON 10, SHARPSVILLE 0

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Analiese Hendrickson scored four goals and Sarah Dieter three as Wilmington beat Sharpsville, 10-0.

Paige Buckwalter, Isabella Melnick and Emma Mershimer had one goal eachfor Wilmington.

Hendrickson, Dieter and Maria Mitchell had two assists each for Wilmington.

Brianna Jenkins (4 saves) and Alix Eggleston (2 saves) combined on the shutout for Wilmington. Clarissa Ealy had 13 stops for Sharpsville.

GENERAL MCLANE 4, HARBOR CREEK 0

HARBORCREEK, Pa. – Sydney Rotko had a goal and two assists as General McLane beat Harbor Creek, 4-0.

Sophia Allison, Mary Barto and Emma Walker also scored for GM, while Walker also added an assist.

Bella Dibble had the clean sheet in net.

                        

FORT LEBOEUF 2, FAIRVIEW 0

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Jenna Popowski and Delani Miller both scored as Fort LeBoeuf shutout Fairview, 2-0.

Popowski and Savannah Jones had one assist each, while Gabby Green had the clean sheet in net.

MERCYHURST PREP 1, GIRARD 0

ERIE, Pa. – Ella Schmacher scored the lone goal of the game in the first half as Mercyhurst Prep earned a 1-0 win over Girard.

         

Brigid Ochalek had the clean sheet in net.

PORT ALLEGANY 2, RIDGWAY 2

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Madison Filhart had two goals for Port Allegany in a 2-2 draw with Ridgway.

Jaidyn Hodgdon and Kallie MIlliard had Ridgway’s goals.

BROOKVILLE 8, KANE 2

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Ally Wilson had three goals and Kaida Yoder two as Brookville beat Kane, 8-2.

Madeline Reitz, Lauren Castellan and Kailin Bowser had one goal each for the Raiders.

Emily Stephan had both goals for Kane.

CLARION 9, KEYSTONE 2

KNOX, Pa. – Alexis Leadbetter scored three goals as Clarion beat Keystone, 9-2.

Lexi Coull and Olivia Hannold had two goals each, while Julianna Wilson and Katera Sebastian-Sims had one each.

Wilson had four assists, while Coull had three and Leadbetter and Hannold one each.

Brianna Manno and Sarah Cotton had Keystone’s goals, while Mariah Beary had an assist.

EISENHOWER 7, MAPLEWOOD 1

RUSSELL, Pa. – Julia Gesing had four goals to lift Eisenhower to a 7-1 win over Maplewood.

Rosalie Rondeau scored two goals for the Lady Knights and Shayleigh Anderson one.

Abigail Zook scored for Maplewood.

CORRY 6, FRANKLIN 0

CORRY, Pa. – Alexandra Scholar scored three goals as Corry blanked Franklin, 6-0.

Emily Geer, Marleigh Martin and Camryn Fox also had goals for Corry.

PORT ALLEGANY 4, RIDGWAY 0

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Alex Schott had a pair of goals as Port Allegany beat Ridgway, 4-0.

Jarrod Funk and Henry Kisler had one goal each for the Gators.

Austin Hamilton had two assists, while Derek Smith and Funk had one each.

KARNS CITY 2, DUBOIS 0

DUBOIS, Pa. – Braden Slater and Colson Ritzert scored for Karns City in a 2-0 win over DuBois.

Slater and Carter Ritzert had one assist each.

Lucas Yasika had the shutout in net.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 2, NORTHERN POTTER 1

ULYSSES, Pa. – Timmy Brannock and Aaron Bennett scored for Elk County Catholic in a 2-1 win over Northern Potter.

Ben Cerroni had an assist for ECC.

Malachi Lewis had 33 saves for Northern Potter.

KANE 6, COUDERSPORT 1

KANE, Pa. – Kane earned a 6-1 home win over Coudersport.

Reilly Streich scored for Coudersport, but it was Kane that raced out to a 4-1 halftime lead.

Micah Baston had an assist for the Falcons.
