Two-time PA Player of the Year Layke Fields Verbally Commits to Robert Morris

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Two-time Pennsylvania Class 2A Player of the Year Layke Fields, who will be a senior at Kennedy Catholic next season, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that she has verbally committed to play basketball at Robert Morris.

 

Fields has led Kennedy Catholic to back-to-back PIAA Class 2A title and to three straight PIAA title games (the Golden Eagles were 1A runners-up in 2022). She hit the game-winning shot in Kennedy Catholic’s 42-40 win over Marion Center this past March with five seconds left.

 
She averaged 20.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.9 blocks, 2.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game and recorded 23 double-doubles in 29 games including a double-double in all five PIAA playoff games where she averaged 26.6 points and 14 rebounds per game. She shot 68.9% (250 of 363) from the field.

                                      

Fields will enter her senior season with 1,503 career points and 896 career rebounds.
