MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Sites and times have been announced for the Tuesday, March 12, second-round PIAA basketball playoff games.
In girls’ Class 2A action, defending PIAA champion and D10 champion Kennedy Catholic will face D6 runner-up Portage at 6 p.m. at Norwin High School in North Huntingdon, while D10 third-place finisher West Middlesex will face WPIAL champion Greensburg Central Catholic at 7 p.m. at North Allegheny High School.
Class 3A girls’ play sees a doubleheader at Sharon High School involving District 10 schools.
At 6 p.m., WPIAL third-place finisher Neshannock will take on D10 champion Mercyhurst Prep followed by a 7:30 p.m. game between WPIAL champion Shady Side Academy and D10 runner-up Northwestern.
There will also be a doubleheader in boys’ Class 1A action at PennWest Clarion’s Tippin Gym starting with a 6 p.m. game between D9 third-place finisher Cameron County and and D10 champion Farrell. That game will be followed by a 7:30 p.m. contest between D9 champion Elk County Catholic and WPIAL third-place finisher Union (New Castle).
Also in Class 1A action, D9 runner-up Clarion will meet WPIAL champion and defending state champion Imani Christian at 6 p.m. at Armstrong High School.
