St. Marys Claims a Pair of Champions at Panther Holiday Classic Powered by Luton’s Plumbing, Heating & AC

CRESSON, Pa. – Aiden Beimel (127) and Andrew Wolfanger (172) took home individual titles as St. Marys finished sixth in the team standings at the 50-team Panther Holiday Classic.

                        

Connellsville won the team title with 216, with St. Marys finishing at 115.5 and Corry 111.5.

Beimel earned a 5-2 decision over Boiling Springs’ Luke Mangani in the 127-pound final, while Wolfanger beat Dallastown’s Isaiah Feeney, 2-1 in the 172-pound final.

Also for St. Marys, Jaden Wehler was fifth at 152 and Jayce Walter seventh at 121.

For Corry, Kael Albers finished third at 215, Mason Savitz fifth at 172, Steven Willis sixth at 127, and William Allen eighth at 139.

                              

KING OF THE MOUNTAIN TOURNAMENT

MILL HALL, Pa. – Brookville finished 19th and Cranberry and General McLane in a tie for 23rd at the King of the Mountain Tournament on Saturday.

The Raiders finished with 67.5 team points in the 32-team field, while McLane and Cranberry finished with 62.5 points each.

Cranberry’s Dalton Wenner (114), Brookville’s Cole Householder (145) and General McLane’s Magnus Lloyd (189) all took home third-place finishes in their respective weight classes. Cranberry’s Elijah Brosius (133) and Brookville’s Gavin Hannah (215) finished fifth, while Cranberry’s Dane Wenner (139) and Brookville’s Easton Belfiore (189) were sixth.

Central Mountain won the team title with 196 points, with Bald Eagle Area coming in second at 146.5.
