Soft: Cranberry Walks Off DuBois; Forest Area Beats Kane; Port Allegany Outlast Galeton, 32-25

SENECA, Pa. – Gracee Hess’ walk-off single lifted Cranberry to a 7-6, eight-inning win over DuBois.

Hess was 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Rylee Coe had a pair of RBIs for the Berries going 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, and a run scored for the Berries, while Reyna Watson was 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored.

Hess got the win in relief going six innings allowing two runs, one earned, on seven hits and a walk while striking four.

                  

Ava Baronick hit another home run for DuBois and was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.

Morgan Pasternak added a double for the Lady Beavers going 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI, while Hayley Reed was 3-for-5 with two runs scored.

Baronick took the loss for DuBois in relief going 3 ⅔ innings allowing a run on three hits and three walks while striking out three.

FOREST AREA 7, KANE 5

KANE, Pa. – Alexis Oswald drove in two runs to help Forest Area break a four-game slide with a 7-5 victory at Kane.

                          

Oswald went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Alexa Carll was also 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Fires while Brooke Felleti went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Also for Forest Area, Faith Dietrich went 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Izzy Flick got the win going seven innings allowing five runs, two earned, on four hits, six walks, and a hit batter. She struck out seven.

Elizabeth Yasurek was 1-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Kane with Leah Tigani going 1-for-3 with two runs and Maya Smith going 1-for-1 with a double and three runs.

               

Tigani took the loss going seven innings allowing seven earned runs on eight hits and two hit batters. She struck out three.

PORT ALLEGANY 32, GALETON 25

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Port Allegany and Galeton combined for 57 runs, 20 hits, 18 errors, 35 walks, and 13 hit batters, as Port beat the visiting Tigers, 32-25.

A 19-run first inning for Port Allegany erased an early 6-0 deficit, but Galeton got within three, 25-22, after 3 ½ innings.

Emily Errick drove in five and scored six runs for Port Allegany while going 2-for-3 with a triple and two walks.

Brynn Evens added a pair of doubles while going 2-for-3 with three walks, three runs scored, and four RBIs, and Alyssa Tanner was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, three runs scored, and three RBIs.

Macey Crowell drove in six for Galeton going 3-for-7 with two RBIs.

A-C VALLEY/UNION 15, KEYSTONE 6

SLIGO, Pa. – A seven-run sixth helped A-C Valley/Union pull away from visiting Keystone, 15-6.

            

Alivya Hartzell, Kya Wetzel, and Autumn Blystone each had three RBIs for the Falcon Knights.

Wetzel hit a home run while going 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored, while Blystone and Hartzell each had doubles.

Blystone was 1-for-4 with two runs scored, and Hartzell was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.

Magen Walzak got the win going four innings allowing a hit and two walks while striking out five.

Bella Brandon hit a home run for Keystone and was 1-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored, and three RBIs.

Brandon took the loss allowing 15 runs, nine earned, on nine hits, five walks, and two hit batters while striking out nine.

NORTHERN POTTER 10, OSWAYO VALLEY 5

ULYSSES, Pa. – Kayla Hyde drove in three runs to help Northern Potter to a 10-5 win over visiting Oswayo Valley.

Hyde was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, and a run scored.

Winning pitcher Jaylyn Williammee helped herself going 1-fo-1 with a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Williammee went six innings allowing five runs, two earned, on six hits and a walk while striking out 13.

Brooke George went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs for Oswayo Valley.

Eva West took the loss going four innings allowing six runs, five earned, on two hits, eight walks, and three hit batters.

ST. MARYS 14, CENTRAL CLARION 0, 5 INNINGS

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Avery Eckels tossed a one-hitter to help St. Marys bounce back from its first loss of the season with a 14-0, five-inning win over Central Clarion at Clarion-Limestone.

Eckels struck out seven.

Addison Beimel and Molly Hanslovan each hit home runs for the Lady Dutch with Hanslovan going 4-for-4 while adding a double, three runs scored, and three RBIs and Beimel going 2-for0-2 with a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored.

Kaylen Eozzo added a 3-for-3 day for St. Marys with an RBI and two runs scored, Jianna Gerg was 2-for-4 with a triple, an RI, and two runs scored, and Eckels was 2-for-4.

Jenna Dunn had the lone hit for Central Clarion.

Kaylee Smith took the loss going 1 ⅔ innings allowing eight runs, three earned, on 10 hits.

CURWENSVILLE 15, MOSHANNON VALLEY 0, 4 INNINGS

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Addison Siple tossed a four-inning no-hitter as Curwensville beat visiting Moshannon Valley, 15-0, in four innings.

Siple walked four and struck out eight.

Siple helped herself going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Addison Butler was 3-for-4 with an RBI and four runs scored for the Lady Tide, while Natalie Wischuck went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

BALD EAGLE AREA 10, CLEARFIELD 0, 6 INNINGS

HYDE, Pa. – Savanna Alrbight tossed a one-hit shutout as Bald Eagle Area beat Clearfield, 10-0, in six innings.

Albright struck out 10.

Addisyn Burns went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBIs for the Bald Eagles.

Megan Wisor took the loss for Clearfield going three innings allowing six earned runs on seven hits and two walks.
