STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Sydney Alexander had three hits and four RBIs to help Elk County Catholic to a 14-2 road win over Central Clarion at Clarion-Limestone.

Alexander went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored. She had a two-run single in the second, an RBI double in the fourth, and an RBI groundout in the seventh.

                  

Alexander was named the Allegheny Grille of Foxburg Player of the Game and talked about her performance and the win on the Cole Orthodontic Associates Postgame Interview.

The game was close through six innings with ECC holding a 7-2 lead going to the seventh before the Lady Crusaders scored seven times in the seventh, including a solo home run by Emily Mourer, her fifth of the season.

Mourer went 1-for-4 with a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs and was also the winning pitcher throwing seven innings allowing two earned runs on four hits, three walks, and a hit batter while striking out five.

Alexa Uhl added a 2-for-3 day with two doubles with Bailey Thorwart going 2-for-5 with a triple and a run scored. Lucy Klawuhn was also 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, two runs scored, and an RBI. She was also hit by a pitch.

                          

Sarah Hasselman had a strong day at the bottom of the lineup going 1-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored, and three RBIs, and Reagan Bauer was 1-for-3 with a double, two walks, a run scored, and an RBI.

Ali Eagen had her first RBI of the year for the Lady Crusaders and Jenna Schatz had her first hit.

Alyssa Wiant was 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI for Central Clarion with Abby Knapp-Greeley going 1-for-4 with a run scored.
Megan Hetrick kept ECC off balance most of the day but took the loss going six-plus innings allowing 10 runs, five earned, on seven hits, nine walks, and two hit batters. She struck out two.

BROCKWAY 15, KANE 12

KANE, Pa. – Rheanna Spinda went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and four RBIs to lead Brockway to a 15-12 win at Kane.

               

Isabella Patton and Eliza Powell each added a pair of RBIs for the Lady Rovers with Patton going 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, and two runs scored and Powell going 1-for-5 with two runs scored.

Bailee Carberry got the win for Brockway, which used a 10-run third inning to fuel the victory. She went seven innings allowing 12 runs, seven earned, on nine hits and seven walks while striking out seven.

Kylie Iak and Maya Smith were both 4-for-5 for Kane.

Iak had two doubles and three RBIs while Smith had a triple, a double, three RBIs, and two runs scored.

Elizabeth Yasurek added a 2-for-5 day with a triple and three RBIs for the Lady Wolves with Lexi Mulcahy going 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Leah Tigani took the loss going seven innings allowing 15 runs, four earned, on 14 hits, a walk, and two hit batters. She struck out four.

PUNXSUTAWNEY SWEEPS BRADFORD

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Punxsutawney swept a doubleheader from visiting Bradford by scores of 11-0 and 13-2.

Both games went five innings.

            

In the first game, Brinley Hallman tossed a five-inning no-hitter. She walked one and struck out eight.

Hallman also had a field day at the plate going 3-for-3 with two doubles, a home run, two runs scored, and five RBIs.

Avary Powell was also 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and three runs scored for the Lady Chucks in Game One, while Laci Poole went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI.

Also in the opener, Sarah Gotwald was 2-fore-3 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Daisy Greene took the loss going four innings allowing 11 runs, nine earned, on 13 hits and a walk while striking out three.

In the nightcap, Hallman added another double while going 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBIs to lead Punxsutawney.

Also for the Lady Chucks, Oliva Toven was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Powell went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored.

Toven got the win going five innings allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three.

Kasey Poe paced Bradford’s offense going 2-for-2 with a triple, a run scored, and an RBI.

Kendyl Cruz was also 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Lady Owls.

Kali Dixon took the loss allowing 13 runs, three earned, on seven hits, four walks, and a hit batter. She struck out two in five innings of work.

DUBOIS 16, BROOKVILLE 1, 5 INNINGS</strong >

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Ava Baronick hit her District 9-leading ninth home run of the season while adding two doubles to lead DuBois to a 16-1, five-inning win at Brookville.

Baronick was 4-for-4 with four RBIs while her courtesy runner Abigail Kalgren scored twice.

Audrey Hale, Kalgren, Lynx Lander, Brielle Gray, and Bree Weible each added a pair of RBIs for the Lady Beavers.

Hale was 3-for-3 with two triples with her courtesy runner Layden Mooney scoring three times.

Kalgren, who scored a total of three runs, was 1-for-1 with a double.

Lander went 4-for-4 with a double and three runs scored, Gray was 2-for-2 with a triple and a run scored, and Weibel was 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Morgan Pasternak also went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, and two runs scored for DuBois.

Lilly Plyer was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored for Brookville.

Baronick went five innings allowing an unearned run on three hits and three walks while striking out 10.

Alyssa Tollini took the loss going five innings allowing 16 runs, 14 earned, on 21 hits while striking out one.

CAMERON COUNTY 27, PORT ALLEGANY 14

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Hailey McAulay had six RBIs to pace Cameron County’s 27-14 win at Port Allegany.

McAulay was 1-for-4 with a double, three walks, and three runs scored.

Elyse Umble, Sabrina Hoffower, and Cloe Farren each added three RBIs for the Lady Raiders.

Umble was 4-for-6 with a double, a triple, and two runs scored, Hoffower was 1-for-3 with three walks and two runs scored, and Farren was 2-for-4 with a double, two walks, and five runs scored.

Kirsten Smith and Elsie Bresslin each chipped in two RBIs with Smith going 1-for-5 with two walks and three runs scored, and Bresslin walking twice and scoring three times.

Caitlyn Palumbo got the win going seven innings allowing 14 runs, seven earned, on 10 hits and eight walks while striking out four.

Emily Errick was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run scored, and three RBIs to lead Port Allegany.

Also for the Lady Gators, Ellianna Distrola was 3-for-4 with a triple, a run scored, and two RBIs, while Peyton Gordon went 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Gianna Glasgow also went 2-for- with a double, three runs scored, and two RBIs for Port Allegany.

The Lady Gators used three pitchers with Alyssa Tanner taking the loss. She went 6 ⅔ innings allowing 23 runs, 11 earned, on 10 hits, 14 walks, and a hit batter. She struck out 13.

CLEARFIELD 12, SOMERSET 2, 5 INNINGS

HYDE, Pa. – Ruby Singleton and Alexus Green each had three RBIs to lead Clearfield to a 12-2, five-inning win over visiting Somerset.

Singleton was 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored with Green going 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Anna Twigg also had three hits going 3-for-4 with Eve Siegel going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs, and Aevril Hayward going 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored.

Megan Wisor got the win going five innings allowing two earned runs on six hits, two walks, and a hit batter. She struck out five.

OTTO-ELDRED 18, COUDERSPORT 3, 3 INNINGS

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – A 12-run third inning helped Otto-Eldred pick up an 18-3, three-inning win over visiting Coudersport.

Kayla Andreano, Carrie Drummond, and Lexi Prince each had three RBIs for the Lady Terrors.

Anderson was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored, Prince went 2-for-2 with a walk, and two runs scored, and Drummond was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored.

Kate Rhinheart added a 2-for-3 day with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Rhinehart was also the winning pitcher going three innings allowing three unearned runs on four hits, a walk, and a hit batter. She struck out five.

Laura Dunn was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for Coudersport.

Hannah Fleniken took the loss allowing 18 runs, all earned, on 12 hits and 10 walks while striking out two in 2 ⅔ innings.

DCC SWEEPS PAST JOHNSONBURG

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Visiting DuBois Central Catholic swept a doubleheader at Johnsonburg winning a pair of three-inning games, 22-0 and 17-2.

In the opener, DCC used an 18-run top of the first to set the tone.

Lauren Davidson and Melia Mitskavich each had four hits with Davidson going 4-for-4 two doubles, three RBIs, and four runs scored and Mitskavich going 4-for-4 with a double, four runs scored, and four RBIs.

Jessy Frank, Lydia Morgan, and Rylee Kulbatsky each added three hits, while Lexi Berta drove in five runs.

Frank was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBIs, and three runs scored, Morgan was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, Kulbatsky was 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs, and Berta was 2-for-2 with a double, a triple, and two runs scored.

Kulbatsky struck out all nine batters she faced for a three-inning perfect game.

Dana Beimel took the loss going three innings allowing 22 earned runs on 24 hits, a walk, and a hit batter.

In Game Two, Davidson hit a home run, while Kayley Risser had a double and two triples, Morgan a pair of doubles, and Frank a double and a triple.

Davidson was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and four RBIs with Risser going 3-for-3 with three runs scored and five RBIs.

Morgan was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs, and Frank was 3-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored.

Marina Hanes had a big day for the Lady Cardinals as well going 3-for-4 with a double, three runs scored, and two RBIs.

Mitskavich got the win going three innings allowing two earned runs on three hits and a walk while striking out six.

Zoey Grunthaner was 1-for-2 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI for Johnsonburg with Beimel going 1-for-2 with a double an an RBI.

Natalie Dunworth also doubled while going 1-for-2 with a run scored.

Dunworth took the loss going 2 ⅓ innings allowing 17 runs, six earned, on 19 hits while striking out one.

ELLWOOD CITY 8, MONITEAU 1

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. – Amber McQuiston tossed seven innings allowing one earned run on seven hits and two walks while striking out 10 to lead Ellwood City to an 8-1 win at Moniteau.

Alex Stewart paced Moniteau going 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Mariska Shunk went 2-for-4 and Addy Williams was 2-for-3.

Lexi McGhee took the loss going 6 ⅓ innings allowing eight runs, five earned, on seven hits and eight walks while striking out three.
