Sharpsville’s Summers Named Week One District 10 Jim Kelly POW Powered by the Allegheny Grille

WARREN, Pa. – Having already thrown six touchdown passes Sharpsville’s Caullin Summers needed one more with his team trailing Wilmington with under a minute to play.

Summers found a streaking Aiden Puskar down the sideline for a 63-yard touchdown pass to lift the Blue Devils to a 49-42 that earned him the YDL Sports Network Week 1 Jim Kelly District 10 Football Player of the Week powered by the Allegheny Grille in Foxburg.

Summers was 16-of-32 for 410 yards through the air to go along with his seven touchdowns, while also rushing for 139 yards on 17 carries.

Dalton Byerly was his favorite target on the evening with nine receptions for 219 yards and four touchdowns.

•Eisenhower’s Kris Bunk (5 receptions 107 yards, 3 touchdowns) and Shawn Pascuzzi (11-of-14, 171 yards, 3 touchdowns, 9 carries, 106 yards, 2 touchdowns)

•Farrell’s Kabron Smith (11-of-22 passing, 142 yards, 2 touchdowns)

•General McLane’s Magnus Lloyd (12 carries, 59 yards, 1 touchdown; 12 tackles on defense)

•Girard’s Jeremiah Colon (101 yards rushing, overtime touchdown in win over Northwestern)

                          

•Hickory’s Zander Tellez (13-of-14, 212 yards, 4 touchdowns).

•Lakeview’s Mitchell Tingley (13 carries, 122 yards, 3 touchdowns)

•Meadville’s Bradyn Miller (11 carries, 116 yards, 2 touchdowns)

•Mercyhurst Prep’s Jeremy Ganska (24 carries, 192 yards, 1 touchdown)

•Oil City’s Ethen Knox (11 carries, 218 yards, 6 touchdowns)

•Sharon’s Mister Ham (9-of-13, 109 yards, 2 touchdowns, 93 rushing yards)

•Titusville’s Ian McDonald (129 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, 29 rushing yards, 2 touchdowns)

•Wilmington’s Ben Miller (16 carries, 188 yards, 2 touchdowns)

Jim Kelly is the Hall of Fame quarterback of the Buffalo Bills who grew up in East Brady, Pa. and went to Miami (Fla). Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 after passing for over 45,000 yards as a pro, including two seasons in the USFL, with 320 career touchdown passes. He led the Bills to four straight AFC Titles. Kelly’s name on the award is being used with his permission.
