“Jess had a close first set, but I told Jess to try to do a few new things and she did them well to easily win the second set,” said DuBois coach Lori Sabatose. “Grace Askey won a tough match at two and Olivia Reed won easily at four. Stephanie lost the first set to Taylor Rhed, who was playing well, then Stephanie was playing well slicing her forehand return low and playing better wins the second set, so it goes into a super tie breaker. Stephanie’s stamina and will got the best of Taylor by a few points to win the match. I was glad both athletes played well.”

Sabatose noted that since they had the match won, she decided to mix up the doubles teams, which were all victorious.
