Rotko Scores Six Goals in GM Girls’ Win; Hageter, Redbank Outlast Clarion; Mercer Edges Hickory (Sept. 12 Soccer Recaps)

EDINBORO, Pa. – Sydney Rotko had a monster game with six goals as General McLane earned a 6-1 win over Warren.

Remy Suroviec had the other goal for GM.

Emma Walker, Suroviec, Sam Johnson, Casie Chorney and Lena Bookhamer had one assist each for the Lancers.

REDBANK VALLEY 4, CLARION 3, overtime

            

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lia Hageter scored all four goals as Redbank Valley edged Clarion, in overtime.

Bella Orr had two assists for Redbank in the win.

Alex Leadbeeter, Julianna Wilson and Lexi Coull scored for Clarion. Coull and Janiya Jones had assists for the Lady Cats.

MERCER 1, HICKORY 0

MERCER, Pa. – Karleigh Heckathorn scored the lone goal of the game as Mercer edged Hickory, 1-0.

                          

The goal came off a corner kick from Maddy Bailey.

Maddie Jewell had the shutout in net.

KARNS CITY 6, ST. MARYS 0

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Bree O’Donnell and Hanna Dailey scored two goals each as Karns City earned a 6-0 win over St. Marys.

Dailey also had two assists, while Phoebe Brandon had one goal and one assist, while Sarah Dodd had the other goal.

Aubrey Price and Isabella Shields also had one assist each for Karns City.

EISENHOWER 2, CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 1

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Shayleigh Albaugh and Julia Gesing both scored as Eisenhower earned a 2-1 win over Cambridge Springs.

Moira York had Cambridge Springs’ goal.

GIRARD 5, MAPLEWOOD 0

                        

GIRARD, Pa. – Abbi Erion scored two goals as Girard earned a 5-0 win over Maplewood.

Erion also had two assists in the win.

BOYS

CLARION-LIMESTONE 3, REDBANK VALLEY 2

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Thomas Uckert had a goal and two assists as Clarion-Limestone earned a 3-2 win over Redbank Valley

         

Brenden Bettwy had one goal and one assist for the Lions, while Wyatt Boyden also had one goal.

Isaac Lerch came up big in net for C-L with 17 saves in the second half.

BROCKWAY 8, RIDGWAY 0

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Evan Botwright had three goals and three assists as Brockway beat Ridgway, 8-0.

Dylan Bash added a pair of goals in the win for Brockway, while Bradey Hughes, Jimmy Fremer and Aiden Wilcox had one each.

Hughes also had two assists, while Caleb Daugherty and Bash had one each.
