Rotko Nets Five Goals in GM Girls’ Win; Forest Area Boys Earn Overtime Victory (Oct. 7 Soccer Recaps)

   

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Sydney Rotko scored five goals as General McLane blanked Greenville, 11-0.

Lena Bookhamer scored three goals, while Remy Suroviec had two goals and Sophia Allison one for GM.

Allison had three assists, while Bookhamer had two and Rotko, Emma Walker and Suroviec had one each.

Bella Dibble had the shutout in net.

FOREST AREA 6, OIL CITY 1

            

TIONESTA, Pa. – Amber Guzzi scored a pair of goals as Forest Area beat Oil City, 6-1.

Hayley VanDyke, Bailey Stevens, Allison Ochs and Riley O’Connor also scored for Forest Area, which led 2-0 at halftime.

Brooke Steinman had five saves in net for Forest.

FOREST AREA 3, OIL CITY 2, double overtime

                          

TIONESTA, Pa. – Logan Bish scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Asher Bell as Forest Area beat Oil City, 3-2.

Kaden Baumcratz had a penalty kick goal for Forest Area, while Mitchell Bawden had the game-tying goal with three minutes left in regulation.

Drayton Dill had both goals for Oil City.

Tristan Chambers had the win in net.

HARBOR CREEK 2, HICKORY 1

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Colton Wuerstle scored the game-winning goal midway through the second half as Harbor Creek beat Hickory, 2-1.

Austin Armstrong had the other goal for Harbor Creek.

Ben Wolfe and TR Baumann had assists for the Huskies.

WARREN 5, IROQUOIS 1

WARREN, Pa. – Warren broke a 1-1 tie with four goals in the second half of a 5-1 win over Iroquois.

                        

Finn Ordiway had two goals for the Dragons, while Jack Chapman, Trey Carrington and Gavin Rex had one goal each.

Casey Rich and Quinn Norris had assists for the Dragons.

CATHEDRAL PREP 6, MENTOR (OHIO) 2

MENTOR, OHIO – Max Johnson had two goals and two assists as Cathedral Prep earned a 6-2 win over Mentor.

Noah Handzel, Dylan Danch, Andrew Disanza and Mike McDonald had one goal each for the Ramblers.
