Port Allegany, Cameron County Get Saturday Wins in District 9

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – A 22-point third quarter helped Port Allegany pull away from visiting Union/A-C Valley, 44-6.

Aiden Bliss scored on a pair of short runs in the quarter, and Peyton Stiles also scored on the ground to help the Gators (6-1, 5-0 D9 R2) explain a 15-6 halftime lead to 37-6 by the end of the quarter.

Bliss and Stiles each ran for three touchdowns in the win.

Stiles had 17 carries for 142 yards with Bliss rushing 12 times for 78 yards

Bliss and Stiles each scored in the first quarter to give the Gators a 15-0 lead with Stiles scoring on a 47-yard run and Bliss on a 20-yard run.

            

Union/A-C Valley (3-4, 3-2), though, got within nine at halftime, 15-6, but Bliss scored on runs of 1 and 6 yards in the third quarter and Stiles added a 4-yard run in the quarter before scoring on a 2-yard run.

CAMERON COUNTY 51, SHEFFIELD 0

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Seven different Cameron County players scored in a 51-0 win at Sheffield Saturday afternoon.

Lathan Reed scored twice for the Red Raiders while Malakai Zucal, Taylon Tucker, Kyle Earle, Kamden Fragale, Michael Snyder, and Isaac Nichols all scored once for the Red Raiders (5-2, 2-1 D9 R3).

Zucal ran for 107 yards on four carries to lead a Cameron County offense that ran for over 350 yards, while Snyder added 92 yards on the ground and Fragale 83.

                          

Sheffield fell to 0-6, 0-4.
