WARREN, Pa. – Otto-Eldred’s Landon Francis and Slippery Rock’s Josh Book are the TapNPay+ boys’ basketball Performances of the Week for the week of Jan. 22-27, 2024.
Francis became the first Otto-Eldred boys’ player in 48 years to score 1,000 career points when he netted 30 in an 82-25 win over Oswayo Valley on Monday, Jan. 22.
The junior, who is the District 9 honoree, needed 19 points coming into the night to reach the milestone and achieved the mark in the first half. The 30 points tied a career-high for Francis.
Book, the District 10 winner, had an eye-popping double-double to help Slippery Rock hold off Greenville, 62-56, in Region 5 action on Friday, Jan. 26.
The Rocket blasted off for 33 points and 16 rebounds in the victory.
