Moniteau Girls, Warren, West Middlesex Boys Earn Golf Wins Powered by Hunter’s Station Golf Club

FOXBURG, Pa. – Cranberry’s Mallory McMasters earned medalist honors with a 49 and Moniteau once again was the first-place team in Wednesday’s KSAC girls’ golf match at the Foxburg Country Club.

Mariska Shunk shot a 50 for Moniteau, while Sophee Hazlet shot a 51 and Kendall Sankey a 52.

Ruby Watson led A-C Valley with a 53, while Reagan Best shot a 58 and Cranberry’s Kelsey Hanna a 59.

WARREN TAKES REGION 6 MEGA MATCH

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Warren’s Braddock Damore shot a 73 as the Dragons (318) edged McDowell (320) for first place in Wednesday’s Region 6 mega match at Beechwood.

            

Meadville finished with a team score of 322, while Cathedral Prep was at 334, Hickory 341, Erie 353 and Corry 398.

McDowell’s Jack Mucha was second with a 76, while Meadville’s Robert Mahoney shot a 77, Prep’s Connor Laird a 78 and Prep’s Cooper Wierzchowski, Hickory’s Grady Kapusta and Meadville’s Alex Burgess all shot 79.

Also for Warren, Brady Berdine shot an 80, Reid Olsen an 82, Johnny Palmieri an 83 and Conner Zaffino an 86.

WEST MIDDLESEX WINS IN TIEBREAKER OVER GROVE CITY

HERMITAGE, Pa. – West Middlesex and Grove City finished with 341 points each, but West Middlesex took first based on the score of its fifth-place finisher in Wednesday’s Region 2 mega match.

                          

Grove City’s Isaac Allen took medalist honors with a 74, while Wilmington’s Santino Toscano was second with a 77.

For the Big Reds, Caden Bender and Bowen Briggs each shot 81, while John Partridge shot an 88, Gavin Shrawder shot a 91 and Nathan Kachulis the all-important 93.

Wilmington’s Kaitlyn Hoover shot an 82, as the Greyhounds were third in the team standings with score of 348.
