Lutz, C-L Shutout DCC; Oswayo Valley hands Otto-Eldred First Loss

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Logan Lutz threw a two-hitter, as Clarion-Limestone ended DuBois Central Catholic’s seven-game win streak with a 10-0, six-inning home win.

Lutz went six innings walking two and hitting a batter while striking out three.

The Lions took advantage of eight errors that led to seven unearned runs.

Jake Smith drove in three runs for C-L going 2-for-3 with a double, while Kohen Kemmer was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, two runs scored, and two RBIs, and Jack Craig went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

   

                  

Jordan Hesdon and Nick Aaron each added a pair of his as well.

Johnny Varischetti and Carter Kosko had hits for DCC.

Brayden Fox took the loss going ⅓ of an inning allowing four unearned runs on a hit and a walk.

OSWAYO VALLEY 5, OTTO-ELDRED 1

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – A stellar pitching performance from Ethan Hackman helped Oswayo Valley hand Otto-Eldred its first loss of the season, 5-1, in Shinglehouse.

                          

Hackman went 6 ⅓ innings allowing one earned run on five hits, two hit batters, and two walks while striking out nine.

Cayden Black came on and go the final two outs after Hackman reached the 100-pitch limit.

Black was the offensive hero for the Green Wave going 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored, and three RBIs.

Isaiah Goode scored twice for Oswayo Valley going 1-for-3.

               

Manning Splain was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored for Otto-Eldred while Jared Obenrader drove in the Terrors’ run.

Austin Cousins took the loss going six innings allowing five earned runs on six hits, a walk, and two hit batters. He struck out six.

BROOKVILLE 9, KEYSTONE 3

KNOX, Pa. – Carson Weaver drove in two runs to help Brookville to a 9-3 win at Keystone.

Weaver went 2-for-4, while Riley Smith was 2-for-2 with a double and a walk and two runs scored, and Noah Shaffer was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.

Brady Dunlap went 2-for-4 for Keystone while Aidan Tharan went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI.

Shaffer got the win going four innings allowing one earned run on two hits and four walks while striking out five. Owen Fleming got the save going three innings allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits and a walk while striking out four.

Noah Weckerly took the loss going 3 ⅓ innings allowing five runs, three earned, on five hits and three walks while striking out five. Drew Keth pitched 3 ⅔ innings giving up four unearned runs on three hits and a hit batter while striking out five.

CAMERON COUNTY 13, GALETON 3, 6 INNINGS

GALETON, Pa. – Maddox Baughman had four RBIs to lead Cameron County to a 13-3, six-inning road win over Galeton.

            

Baughman went 2-for-2 with a double and two walks.

That was part of a nine-hit, 13-walk output by the Red Raiders on offense.

Ian Bolin was also 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBIs, and three runs scored with Jesop Farabuahg going 1-for-4 with two RBIs and Ryan Shaffer finishing 1-for-2 with three walks, two RBIs, and three runs scored.

Eastyn Solveson got the win going four innings allowing one earned run on two hits and three walks while striking out two. Farabaugh pitched two innings giving up two earned runs on a hit and three walks while striking out three.

CLEARFIELD 12, BRADFORD 1, 5 INNINGS

HYDE, Pa. – A seven-run second inning lifted Clearfield to a 12-1, five-inning win over visiting Bradford.

Morgen Billotte, Anthony Lopez, and Cole Bloom each drove in two runs for the Bison.

Billotte walked once and scored two runs, Lopez went 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored, and Bloom was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.

Adam Ward went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Bradford.

Elijah Quick got the win going five innings allowing an earned run on four hits and a walk while striking out eight.

Aiden Willard took the loss going 1 ⅓ innings allowing four earned runs on three hits and two walks. Noah Swanson pitched ⅔ of an inning allowing six runs, five earned, on five walks, and a hit batter while striking out one. Evan Whitmore went two innings allowing two earned runs on three hits, two walks, and a hit batter.
