Karns City Boys Soccer Tops Sharon; Villa Tennis Remains Perfect

   

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Lathan Price and Colson Ritzert scored two goals each as Karns City beat Sharon.

Mallick Metcalfe, Myles McCully and Andrew Rottman added one tally each for the Gremlins. Jacob Callihan and Price notched two assists each.

Luke Yasika had the shutout in net.

GROVE CITY 12, FRANKLIN 1

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Pierson Badowski scored four goals as Grove City rolled past Franklin.

            

Jimmy Irani and Jacob Irani scored two goals apiece, while Hayden Glenn, Landon Haggart, Caleb Baumgartner and Ben Donnelly had one each.

FAIRVIEW 2, GENERAL MCLANE 1

EDINBORO, Pa. – Drew Smith and Ali Hosseini scored as Fairview edged GM, 2-1.

Riley Vogt had General McLane’s goal.

NORTH EAST 3, HARBOR CREEK 1

                          

NORTH EAST, Pa. – Krew Ksenich scored a pair of goals as North East topped Harbor Creek.

Mike McGuigan had the other North East tally.

GIRLS

WARREN 11, TITUSVILLE 1

WARREN, Pa. – Georgie Bickling had a monster game with six goals and three assists as Warren beat Titusville, 11-1.

Audrey Smith had three goals and Ella Ordiway two for the Lady Dragons. Eliza Brook and Ordiway had two assists each and Smith, Lennon Dailey and Ella Genter one.

Bickling now has 18 goals and 12 assists on the season.

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 2, EISENHOWER 0

RUSSELL, Pa. – Aly Reyes had both Cambridge Springs goals in a 2-0 win over Eisenhower.

Madison Yanc had the shutout in net.

                        

HARBOR CREEK 8, CORRY 1

HARBORCREEK, Pa. – Leya Bretz and Jordyn Nowak scored two goals each to lead Harbor Creek past Corry.

Val Garnica, Bella Infantino, Lexa Maloney and Maddi Williams added one goal each.

MEADVILLE 3, MAPLEWOOD 1

GUYS MILLS, Pa. – Addie Phillis scored two goals to help Meadville past Maplewood.

         

Jessie Aitken had the other tally for the Bulldogs.

TENNIS

Villa Maria moved to 11-0 with a 4-2 win over Magnificat (Ohio).

Villa swept all three singles matches courtesy of Anna Poranski (6-0, 6-4), Annie Prichard (7-6, 6-3) and Sophia Glance (6-0, 4-6, 7-5).

The doubles team of Grace Teed and Lilli Beuchart also earned a 6-2, 6-1 win, while the team of Margaret Prichard and Margaret McGovern dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Claudia Gagliana and Grace Fife.
