CORRY, Pa. – Picking up falls from Lucas Munsee (113 pounds), Chris Almeda (138 pounds), Trey Proper (145 pounds), Brady Steele (160 pounds), and Dylan Gourley (172 pounds) Corry rolled past visiting Cochranton, 54-15.
The Beavers also picked up forfeits at 152 pounds, 189 pounds, 215 pounds, and 285 pounds
Cochanron did get a fall at 120 pounds from Ethan Shoup, while Stephen Martinec gained a 6-2 decision over Damion Kinney at 132 pounds and picked up a forfeit at 126 pounds.
Neither team entered a wrestler at 113 pounds.
GIRARD WINS A PAIR
ALBION, Pa. – At Northwestern, Girard knocked off Cambridge Springs (39-23) and Northwestern (42-16), while Cambridge Springs topped Northwestern (27-9).
In Girard’s win over Cambridge Springs, Story Buchanan (138 pounds), Connor Mattson (152 pounds), and Jordan Schell (285) all won via fall. The Yellow Jackets picked up forfeits at 132, 145 and 160.
In the win over Northwestern, Schell earned another pin, as did Lance Cardman (126) and Buchanan again at 138. The Jackets also received four wins via forfeit. There were three matches that weren’t contested.
In Cambridge Springs’ win over Northwestern, Kyle Banik (138), Jacob Jones (215) and Gunnar Gage (126) all won via fall. There were six matches that weren’t contested.
