CURWENSVILLE 42, SHEFFIELD 25

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Curwensville won five matches via fall en route to a 42-25 win over Sheffield. 

Curwensville coach Dean Swatsworth talked about the win:

                              

Nik Fegert (126 pounds), Ryder Kulklinskie (132), Logan Augenbaugh (152), Jake McCracken (189) and Duane Brady (285) all won via fall. 

For Sheffield, Pitt commit Ethan Finch earned a 21-second pin at 215, while Chase Kyler garnered a major decision at 106 and Trenton Mead a 9-7 decision at 145. Landon Mead also won by fall at 172. 

Curwensville won a pair of matches by forfeit and Sheffield one.

BROOKVILLE 51, BROCKWAY 21

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Brookville received six wins via forfeit and two more by pin en route to a 51-21 win over Brockway. 

Winning by fall for the Raiders were Brecken Cieleski at 132 pounds and Wyatt Griffin at 160. 

At 126, Brookville’s Owen Reinsel earned a tiebreaker win, 7-4  over Mark Palmer. Reinsel, ranked No. 4 in the state as per papowerwrestling.com at 120, bumped up to face Palmer, No. 19 ranked at 126. Reinsel wound up getting three nearfall points in the first of two 30-second rideout periods en route to the win. 

Brockway won three matches by pin – Weston Pisarchick at 106, Dylan Bash at 145 and Seth Stewart at 189. 

Noah Bash of Brockway earned a 5-3 decision over Jackson Zimmerman at 172. 

REDBANK VALLEY 48, FRANKLIN 24

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Redbank Valley won six matches by fall on its way to a 48-24 win over Franklin. 

                           

Ridge Cook (120), Cole Bish (113), Dalton Bish (138), Noah Anderson (172), Coltin Bartley (189) and Aiden Gardner (215) all won by pin. 

Franklin got pins from Cael Dailey at 106, Kavin Boitnott at 126 and Cael Ziegler at 152. 

MAPLEWOOD 35, UNION CITY 30

GUYS MILLS, Pa. – Maplewood’s Logan Gross earned a third-period pin at 172 that, coupled with a forfeit win at189 in the final match of the night, lifted Maplewood past Union City, 35-30. 

Maplewood’s Dylan Reed (285), Ricky Atkins (106) and Chase Blake (126) also won by fall. 

For Union City, Daithin Kent (132), Zach Beckwith (138) and Clay Thomas (152) won via pin. 

Two matches went uncontested, while each team received two forfeit victories. 

GENERAL MCLANE 76, WARREN 0

WARREN, Pa. – General McLane won seven matches via fall, two by tech fall and four by forfeit on their way to a blanking of Warren. 

Matt Leehan (145 pounds), Ryan Dedrick (152), Jackson Spires (160), James Laird (189), Shamus Ford (215), Wilson Spires (285) and Kyle Cousins (132) all won by pin, while Chance Kimmy (138) and Magnus Lloyd (172) were tech fall winners.
