GIRARD, Pa. – Girard High School and by extension its athletic programs, will be shut down until Oct. 1, the school announced Tuesday.
“By order of the Erie County Department of Health, due to multiple clusters of COVID-19, the Girard High School will be closed tomorrow, September 22, through October 1, with school resuming on October 4, 2021,” the school announced.
Sports impacted by the closure include football, volleyball, boys and girls soccer and cross country.
