Fox Lifts Brockway to Victory; Keystone Secures Postseason Berth; Port Allegany, Curwensville Win

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Brayden Fox threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a score to help visiting Brockway to a 42-14 win over Cameron County.

Fox was 17 of 29 and also tossed a pair of interceptions, while also running five times for 73 yards.

Caleb Daughtery caught two of the touchdown passes and finished the night with four catches for 121 yards with Matt Brubaker snaring the other scoring toss. Brubaker had four catches for 48 yards for the Rovers (7-3).

Jendy Cuello added a touchdown run and had 21 carries for 166 yards, and Blake Pisarcik snarred five passes for 87 yards.

            

Ben Yale had nine tackles to lead the Brockway defense with Johnny Varischetti adding eight stops.

Malakai Zucal scored twice for Cameron County (7-3), including returning an interception 80 yards for a score. returned an interception for a touchdown for Cameron County

Both teams are headed to the District 9 Class 1A playoffs.

KEYSTONE 47, MONITEAU 21

KNOX, Pa. – Keystone secured a spot in the District 9 Class 1A playoffs with a 47-21 win over visiting Moniteau.

                          

Eli Nellis had a big night for the Panthers (4-6) scoring three times while rushing 16 times for 186 yards and two touchdowns and catching two passes for 62 yards and a score. Nellis added an interception on defense.

Jorge Reyes added a pair of touchdowns for Keystone and carried the ball six times for 77 yards and a score while catching one pass for 1 yard and a touchdown.

Rayce Weaver (7 carries, 80 yards) and Brock Champluvier (1-yard run) also scored on the ground for Keystone.

Dom Corcetti was 6 of 13 passing for 122 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the win.

Moniteau fell to 1-9 with the loss.

CURWENSVILLE 36, TUSSEY MOUNTAIN 28

SAXTON, Pa. – Trailing twice in the third quarter, Curwensville rallied to pick up a season-ending 36-28 road win over Tussey Mountain.

The Golden Tide (2-8) were down 22-14 and 28-22 in the quarter but rolled off the game’s final 14 points to secure the win.

The go-ahead points for Curwensville came on a 47-yard Tyler Dunn to Braden Holland touchdown pass, and then Holland added a 10-yard run with just under three minutes to play to put the game away.

Dunn was instrumental in getting the game tied at 22 as well scoring on a 28-yard run on a fourth-down play.

                        

Dunn finished the night with 95 yards rushing and two touchdowns while going 5 of 13 passing for 99 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. Holland added 99 yards on the ground and the score and the touchdown catch.

Isaiah Sosak ran for 153 yards and a touchdown for Tussey Mountain (2-8) while Noah Lucko added 112 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

PORT ALLEGANY 47, OTTO-ELDRED 8

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Peyton Stiles and Aiden Bliss each scored two touchdowns as Port Allegany eliminated Otto-Eldred from playoff consideration with a 47-8 win over the visiting Terrors.

Stiles six times for 100 yards with touchdown runs of 60 and 1 yard while Bliss ran 10 times for 113 yards with scoring runs of 1 and 11 yards.

Nick Wilfong also tossed a pair of touchdown passes going 3 of 5 for 73 yards with an interception for the Gators (8-2). The scoring tosses went to Tristan Kiser for 53 yards and Kole Kisko for 11 yards. Kiser had two catches for 47 yards.

Shene Thomas caught a 63-yard touchdown pass for Otto-Eldred (6-4).

Port Allegany will enter the D9 Class 1A playoffs as the presumptive No. 2 seed and will host a game next week.
