CLARION 37, VENANGO CATHOLIC 27

CLARION, Pa. – Taylor Alston scored 16 of her career-high 20 points in the first half to help Clarion beat visiting Venango Catholic, 37-27, in KSAC Small School action.

Behind Alston, the Lady Cats led 25-14 at halftime and grew the lead to 31-16 going to the fourth quarter before Lily Homan scored eight of her game-high 22 points for the Lady Vikings. Homan added five rebounds.

Jordan Best added seven points for Clarion.

                                      

BROCKWAY 47, JOHNSONBURG 42

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Madelyn Schmader scored six of her eight points in the fourth quarter, and they proved to be crucial points in a 47-42 road AML win for Brockway over Johnsonburg.

Danielle Wood also hit 5 of 6 free throws in the final eight minutes to help the Lady Rovers take a 33-31 lead going into the quarter and expand it into the five-point win.

Schmader added six rebounds for Brockway, while Wood had 11 points and seven assists.

Selena Buttery led the Lady Rovers with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.

                          

Annasophia Stauffer and Kaci Stelene both had double-doubles for Johnsonburg.

Stauffer had 17 points and 10 rebounds while adding four assists and three steals, while Stelene added 10 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, and two assists.

Also for the Ramettes, Tess Kocjancic scored eight points.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 44, BROOKVILLE 36

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Putting three players into double-figure scoring and starting the fourth quarter with an 11-4 run, visiting Elk County Catholic notched a 44-36 District 9 League win at Brookville.

The Lady Crusaders kept pace at the top of the league standings with Punxsutawney. Both teams have one loss. ECC has two league games remaining, the next at St. Marys Saturday.

Tori Newton led ECC with 14 points and 11 rebounds while Lucy Klawuhn and Emily Maurer each finished with 10 points.

Brookville got 12 points from Elizabeth Wonderling, all on four second-half 3-pointers.

REDBANK VALLEY 53, KARNS CITY 27

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Redbank Valley outscored homestanding Karns City 21-4 in the third quarter on its way to a 53-27 KSAC Large School win over the Lady Gremlins.

                                   

The Lady Bulldogs led 18-13 at the break but got eight from Caylen Rearick and six from Mylee Harmon in the third quarter to pull away.

Rearick led Redbank Valley with 16 points with Alivia Guffman adding 11 and Harmon and Madison Foringer each scored nine.

Brooke Manuel led Karns City with eight points with Rosie Carden adding seven.

MONITEAU 50, CRANBERRY 28

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. – Behind 27 combined points and 18 combined rebounds from Catherine Kelly and Davina Pry, Moniteau kept its KSAC playoff hopes alive with a 50-28 win over visiting Cranberry in KSAC Large School action.

Kelly scored 16 points and hauled in nine rebounds, while Pry added 11 points and nine boards. Victoria Pry also had nine points for the Lady Warriors.

Ayanna Ferringer led Cranberry with 11 points with Rylee Coe chipping in seven.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 53, KEYSTONE 32

KNOX, Pa. – Frances Milliron tickled the twine for a season-high 26 points, her third straight 20-point game, to lead visiting Clarion-Limestone to a 53-32 win over Keystone in KSAC Large School play.

The victory helped the Lady Lions keep even in the loss column with Moniteau for a KSAC playoff berth.

Kendall Dunn added 12 points for C-L with Lexi Coull scoring eight.

Natalie Bowser led Keystone with 14 points with Emma Gruber scoring eight.

NORTH CLARION 46, A-C VALLEY 24

FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. – Building a 13-1 lead after eight minutes, North Clarion cruised to a 46-24 win over visiting A-C Valley.

Eight different She-Wolves scored led by 13 points from Gwen Siegel and 10 from Lauren Lutz.

                                  

Baylee Blauser led A-C Valley with 12 points with Keira McVay adding nine.

CLEARFIELD 45, BALD EAGLE AREA 31

HYDE, Pa. – Emma Hipps led a trio of Clearfield players in double digits with 18 points, as the Lady Bison picked up a 45-31 home Mountain League win over Bald Eagle Area.

Cayleigh Walker added 15 points for Clearfield with Riley Ryen chipping in 11.

Kierra Serb had 10 points for Bald Eagle Area.

COUDERSPORT 46, AUSTIN 18

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Liz Frame scored 15 points and had four steals to help Coudersport topple visiting Austin, 46-18, in NTL action.

Sierra Myers added 12 points and four rebounds for the Lady Falcons who also got seven points from Bel Porterfield.

Ella Brewer had seven points and three steals for Austin.

SMETHPORT 40, KANE 24

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Abby Lutz scored 11 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and came away with two steals to help Smethport beat visiting Kane, 40-24.

Elizabeth Hungiville added 10 points, nine rebounds, three steals, two blocks, and an assist for the Lady Hubbers who also got nine points and 13 rebounds from Sabrina Tanner, eight points from Coryn McClain, and two points, seven rebounds, seven steals, and five assists from Danielle Nelson.

Mia Anderson and Leah Tigani each scored six points for Kane.

WEST SHAMOKIN 57, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 51

RURAL VALLEY, Pa. – Lily Jordan scored 26 points to lead West Shamokin past visiting DuBois Central Catholic, 57-51.

Lexie Young added 19 points in the win for the Wolves.

Kayley Risser led DCC with 16 points with Lexi Berta adding 11.
