BROCKWAY 42, MONITEAU 41

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Strong free-throw shooting from Danielle Wood helped Brockway to a 42-41 victory over visiting Moniteau.

The Lady Rovers went 16-for-20 from the charity stripe with Wood going 11-for-12 in the win.

                                      

Wood finished with 19 points, five steals and four assists while Selena Buttery contributed 10 tallies, seven rebounds and five blocks. Madelyn Schmader had six points and grabbed six boards.

Catherine Kelly paced the Lady Warriors with 12 points and Abby Rottman chipped in 11 in the loss.

ST. MARYS 50, CAMERON COUNTY 29

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Behind 15 points from Kyla Johnson, St. Marys left with a 50-29 road victory over Cameron County.

                          

Samantha Hayes added 12 tallies for the Lady Dutch with Isabelle Caskey chipping in 10.

Hailey Hilfiger had a double-double in the loss for Cameron County with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

PORT ALLEGANY 35, KANE 26

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Bree Garzel and Jade Evens combined for 25 points to lead Port Allegany to a 35-26 victory over visiting Kane.

Garzel had a game-high 15 points for the Lady Gators while also adding five steals and four assists. Evens contributed 10 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.

Audri Marconi paced the Lady Wolves with eight tallies.

UNION 48, MERCER 40

MERCER, Pa. – Thanks to 18 points from Dominika Logue, Union defeated Mercer, 48-40, on the road.

Maggie Minick and Keira Croyle each added eight tallies for the Golden Damsels in the win.

Grace Godfrey paced Mercer with 12 points. Mackenzie Baker and Delaney Fisher each chipped in nine points.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 39, RIDGWAY 12

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Balanced scoring was key in Elk County Catholic’s 39-12 victory over Ridgway, which was making its long-anticipated 2021 debut.

Julia Aikens led the Lady Crusaders offense with 11 tallies. Lucy Klawuhn added eight tallies with Tori Newton chipping in six.

Jenna Kasmierski paced the Lady Elkers with four points.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 56, OIL CITY 26

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Nineteen points from Frances Milliron lifted Clarion-Limestone over visiting Oil City, 56-26.

Alyssa Wiant chipped in 11 points for the Lady Lions while Kendall Dunn and Lexi Coull each netted seven.

Maddy Marczak paced the Lady Oilers with nine tallies.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 55, INDIANA 38

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Sarah Weaver scored a team-high 17 points to lead Punxsutawney over visiting Indiana, 55-38.

Chloe Presloid added 10 points and grabbed 14 boards for the Lady Chucks while Riley Presloid netted nine points. Keirstin Riley contributed eight points and seven rebounds.

Katie Kovalchick led Indiana with 17 tallies in the loss.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 59, FOREST AREA 43

                                  

TIONESTA, Pa. – Jessy Frank exploded for 20 points to lead visiting DuBois Central Catholic to a 59-43 win over Forest Area at West Forest.

Kayley Riser added 16 points in the win for the Lady Cardinals with Sophia Ginther chipping in eight.

Megan Clow netted 18 points for Forest Area with Amber Guzzi adding 11 and Jessica Wagner eight.

WARREN 43, DUBOIS 38

WARREN, Pa. – Kelsey Stuart and Gracie Ruhlman combined to score 23 points to help Warren hold off DuBois, 43-38.

DuBois employed a triangle-and-two on the Dragons’ two best players – Emma Ruhlman and Riley Childress – holding them to a combined 13 points, nine by Childress.

But Stuart scored 13 and Gracie Ruhlman 10 for Warren.

Saige Weibel netted a game-high 14 points for DuBois with Olivia Johnson chipping in seven.
