CURWENSVILLE 62, BELLWOOD-ANTIS 55

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Ty Terry became the first Curwensville boys’ basketball player in 21 years to score 1,000 career points when he hit the mark on a 3-pointer in the first quarter of the Golden Tide’s 62-55 ICC North win over visiting Bellwood-Antis.

Terry came into the night needing seven points and ended up scoring 21. He became the first Curwensville boys’ player to hit 1,000 points since 2001 when a pair of Tide hoopsters hit the mark – Stu Michaels (1,197) and Adam Donahue (1,067).

Behind 11 first-half points from Terry, Curwensville led 32-22 at halftime and then held off a Bellwood-Antis second-half comeback attempt.

Parker Wood added 19 points in the win for the Tide.

Sean Mallon paced Bellwood-Antis with a game-high 30 points.

PORT ALLEGANY 62, NORTHERN POTTER 27

ULYSSES, Pa. – A monster double-double by Blaine Moses led visiting Port Allegany to a 62-27 win over Northern Potter.

Moses had 15 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Gators.

Noah Archer chipped in 11 points and six steals for Port Allegany, with Drew Evens adding nine points, eight assists, and six steals, and Ty Guilds six points and eight rebounds.

Tanyon Brown paced Northern Potter with nine points with Michael Moore adding seven.

COUDERSPORT 72, OSWAYO VALLEY 50

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Christian Furman exploded for a career-high 34 points while adding five rebounds, four steals, and four assists to lead Coudersport to a 72-50 road NTL win over Oswayo Valley.

Brady Streich added 15 points, six assists, and five steals, and Logan Ruter 12 points for the Falcons who also got five points and 12 rebounds from Garrett Kellert and

                                   

Cayden Black led Oswayo Valley with 18 points with Ian Bilski adding nine.

CAMERON COUNTY 61, SMETHPORT 49

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Led by 18 points from Hayden Brown, Cameron County had four players score in double digits in a 61-49 home NTL victory over Smethport.

Brevin Lewis added 15 points for the Red Raiders with Camdyn Allison and Alan Erickson each scoring 12.

Alex Ognen led Smethport with 21 points, Preston Alfieri and Brandon Higley each scored 10 and John Adamski added eight.

OTTO-ELDRED 62, GALETON 27

GALETON, Pa. – Gavin Jimerson recorded 16 points, four assists, and three steals, as Otto-Eldred rolled past homestanding Galeton, 62-27, in NTL action.

Landon Francis added 13 points, five steals, and three assists for the Terrors who also got eight points, seven rebounds, and three steals from Austin Cousins and eight points from Shene Thomas.

Braiden Cimino scored nine points for Galeton.

BELLEFONTE 64, CLEARFIELD 56

BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Clearfield’s recent struggles continued, as Bellefonte got 22 points from Gannon Brungard to beat the visiting Bison, 64-56, in Mountain League play.

Blair Eckley-Jones added 19 points for the Raiders who also got 14 from Nicholas Way.

Cole Miller had a game-high 27 points for Clearfield, which has lost 7 of 11, while Ryan Gearhart added 10 and Andon Greslick eight.

BUCKTAIL 54, AUSTIN 39

AUSTIN, Pa. – Zach Pick scored a game-high 19 points to help visiting Bucktail to a 54-39 win over Austin.

                                  

Brady Bentz added 13 points in the win with Braylon Fantaski chipping in 11.

Adam Lucas led Austin with nine points and 11 rebounds with Jacob Hooftallen and Hunter Bundy scoring eight each.
