ERIE, Pa. – The Fairview team of Grayson Millette and Aiden Piazza captured the District 10 Class 2A Doubles Championship, while the Erie HIgh duo of Matthew Prenovitz and Henry Polaski won the Class 3A crown at the Westwood Racquet Club on Wednesday.
Millette and Piazza, the top seed, took down Cathedral Prep’s Corbin Glance and John Kretzing in the finals, 6-2, 7-5, this after a 10-0 win over the Warren duo of Max Harrison and Ian Darling, 10-0 in the semifinals
Prenovitz and Polaski, meanwhile, beat DuBois’ Cody Jaconski and Zach Johnson, 6-0, 6-0 in the finals. They also took down DuBois’ No. 2 squad, Houston Hemke and Matt McCullough, 10-4 in the semis.
Prenovitz and Polaski, as well as Millette and Piazza advanced to the PIAA championships at the Hershey Racquet Club on May 28-29.
