Galeton Tennis, Cathedral Prep Lacrosse Triumph

ST. MARYS, Pa. – On the strength of a pair of doubles wins, Galeton edged St. Marys, 4-3 in boys’ tennis action.

Micah Baston and Reilly Streich earned an 8-2 win in doubles action for Galeton, as did Braiden Cimino and John Martin, 8-0.

In singles action for the Tigers, Streich (6-2, 6-4) and Cimino (7-6, 7-5) earned victories.

The highlight for St. Marys was Luke Anderson earned a thrilling 5-7, 7-6, 10-8 victory over Baston. Dean Rakieski earned a 6-0, 6-2 for the Dutchmen, while Alex Luckenbill and Riley Brennan earned an 8-1 doubles win.

CATHEDRAL PREP 14, MCDOWELL 5

ERIE, Pa. – Cathedral Prep built an 8-3 lead after the second quarter en route to a 14-5 win over McDowell.

Owen Callaghan led the Ramblers with four goals and an assist.

Will McBriar had three goals and two assists for the Ramblers, while Nate Klan had two goals and one assist, Nate Klan had two goals and one assist, Chuck McBriar had two goals, Lohan Mastrian had two assists, Santino Montefiori had one goal and one assist, Andrew Timon and Korey Webber with one goal each and Rylan Sorge, Alex Little, Ethan Klan, and Evan Sipple with one assist each.
