ERIE, Pa. – Draya Neavins erupted for 30 points as Erie earned a 79-62 District 6-8-10 Class 6A subregional win over Allderdice on Wednesday.
Erie was off to the races right from the get-go, scoring 22 points in the first quarter and leading 37-24 at halftime.
Ari Reap scored 12 points in the first half for the Royals (18-6).
In addition, Deaja Williams had 18 points for Erie.
The Royals will face Altoona in the subregional final on Saturday at a site and time to be determined.
MCDOWELL 62, ALLDERDICE 54
PITTSBURGH – Tyler Grove scored 30 points as McDowell punched its ticket to the PIAA tournament with a 62-54 subregional win over Allderdice in the PIAA Class 6A 6-8-10 subregional semifinal.
McDowell (20-4) also got 13 points from Kamden Kramer in the win.
Pittsburgh City League champion Allderdice (20-4) got 17 points from Ma’ayan Kohai and 10 points each from Logan Golle and Azerick Jeter.
With the win, McDowell moves on to face State College on Saturday at a site and time to be determined.
